I would be disappointed but after 20 minutes of hatred, I will like 343 again and will carry on my day.
well as quite a few others will agree, we’ve waited over 5 years for a half life 2 episode 3/half life 3, and we’re still waiting for information on it at all.
we know that halo 4 is out this year, so i guess i would be disappointed at lack of info but then remind myself that it actually is coming out and then look forward to E3 and ther release date.

It’s easier to wait for Valve because we know Valve has delivered prior with other games. 343, not so much.
Honestly, I find the wait for Halo 4 pretty easy. It’s the wait for ME3 that’s killing me!

Because it’s close to launch. That and it was pushed back from a late 2011 release to early 2012.

I was fine with the Mass Effect 3 wait, 'till I played the Demo. Now I can wait for next week. Halo 4 on the other hand, I’m not very excited for. All I know is that it is a sequel to Halo 3 and it will feature the Master Chief, Cortana and this supposed Ancient Enemy. If there’s not information in the next few days, as it has been rumoured, it wouldn’t bother me. If there is, then I’d look more forward to Halo 4.

I’m so happy they won’t release any information. In fact, all I want is a trailer (not teaser), I don’t care when, and then I’m pretty damn happy.
Bungie hypes their games to hell. They turn out bad.
343i keeps the game a secret, not much hype, not expecting much.

TRUST? you obviously didn’t trust them when they said there would be nothing at the VGAs, which is why you were let down so much. and how the -Yoink- could this be about trust in any way? it could only ever be like that if they say they’ll show something, but then don’t, and they haven’t done this so stop whining.

I wouldn’t be upset, as they haven’t given us any information about Halo 4 at all yet (other than H4 toys). I don’t expect them to say anything, it goes with their current marketing plan perfectly.
I won’t be that upset. Though it’d be great to see, I am confident that 343i knows what they’re doing.

True, but mass effect 3 releases much sooner than halo 4.
That said, I can sympathize. I don’t think its the lack of info that bothers people, its the lack of informing the community that there is a lack of info. In some ways 343 is involved with the community, and in many other ways, they ignore us.
The reason why the halo community gets so upset over there not being any info is because of, simply put, Bungie.
If you wonder what I mean, just think about Bungie for a moment, they are the kings of all things cryptic.
They love hiding Easter eggs and making puzzle related spoilers. 343 doesn’t really work in that department as well as Bungie. Not to say that they don’t. I mean, the troll face on the PoA mission was hilarious. Its just hard to top Bungie.
In all, 343 wants to quietly work on halo 4. If this were any other franchise, that would slide. However, that is not the case.
For years now, the Halo community has prided itself in clue-finding and puzzle-solving. We are know for dropping to our knees and releasing blood curdling cries of “This doesn’t make sense!” or “What does this mean!”
bottom line, Community; be more patient. 343i; give us some conformation, even if it is a no, that is better than ignoring us.
My rant is finished, you all can go home now.
343i have said that they want you to experience in waiting for a long time for more information about Halo 4. If you cannot manage to wait for so long; then there’s no point in you even bothering to look up anything else about Halo 4. Only patience is the key.

I know the feeling! The game is only 6 days away, but that seems like an eternity from here…

How many people really knew that though? The only way people found out was because someone said that on NeoGaf and it transferred here. Yet it didn’t stick. Perhaps if 343 just just said the same thing on their own site, more people would’ve known. It honestly seems like they out more emphasis on Twitter and NeoGaf than their own website and forums.
