I didn’t see this information in any other thread, so I thought I should make a guide as to how to use non-scoring skulls in MCC and still get the achievements for beating the campaigns on legendary, and get Helioskrill! Here’s a guide game-by-game.
Halo CE: Go through the whole campaign first on easy, but don’t use any skulls. This will unlock the mission completion achievements for you. Then, go through the campaign on legendary with bandanna, and any other skulls you want, on. After beating the campaign, restart your MCC game and go into a Halo CE campaign lobby. The “Living Legend” achievement, among others, will unlock. If you already beat the campaign on legendary with bandanna, don’t fret! Just beat it on easy again with no skulls, and restart your game like I said before. The achievement will unlock.
Halo 2: This one is simpler. Use any skulls you want, scarab gun, bandanna, envy, etc. Just restart the game after you’re done with your session and go into a Halo 2 campaign lobby. Achievements will unlock.
Halo 3 and 4: No non-scoring skulls, but in my opinion these campaigns are much easier. Good luck!

I’ve been using all of the skulls for H2A Legendary but for some reason Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone won’t recognize that I’ve completed them on Legendary with the skulls. The other missions seem to work fine though.

I used the skulls for every mission; you may just want to try restarting your game again and going into the campaign lobby. If you want to know if the game actually believes you completed these missions on legendary, check your service record on Waypoint.

Anyone know of this still works? I haven’t seen this anywhere else on the net.

I haven’t tested it in a while, but I doubt they changed it considering how many bugs the game still has. If you want to try and see if it works, Halo: CE (with bandanna) will probably take less time to finish and test than Halo 2.
Also if you don’t care about the achievements and just want helioskrill, you can get it in REQ packs in Halo 5.
