how to unlock weapon skins

hey halo faithful does anyone know how to unlock more weapon skins im sure u get some from general raking up xp wise does anyone know of any other way?
any ideas would be appriciated

No actually you dont get them from ranking up. You get the artic one from pre ordering at game stop but thats the only one I know of.

Weapon and armour skins are from specializations and commendations, I believe.

Specializations don,t exists on halo 5 you have to get them in REQ packs (GOLD) but I haven’t packed any as they are really difficult to get

You can also get weapon skins from purchasing some mcfarlane halo 4 action figures I believe. I think each figure comes with a code that conains a cosmetic for Halo 4

Good evening.

The easiest way to get Weapon Skins would be to do the following:

1.) Buy Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition. It comes with all Preorder Armors and Skins, except FOTUS armor. It also comes with the Champions Bundle content which has a lot of armor and weapon skins.
2.) Complete all your specialization ranks for the weapon skins from them.
3.) If you can still find any (Check around Rite -Yoink!- due to how slowly things sell off of their shelves), Season Two of McFarlane Toys Halo 4 Figures have special codes to weapon skins. You have to buy the figure to get the code inside the package.

This post is in the Halo 4 forums not Halo 5 and is just over 3 years old, I’m amazed this was even found

Also, there are some exclusive skins that can only be unlocked by entering the correct archive codes on halo waypoint.
