How to turtal?

So I was Googling some facts about this game and stumbled upon something called a super turtle. Does anyone know a build order or strategy for being a turtle? can you explain what it means to be a super turtle

From what I have seen, it works best when matches are evenly set; 1v1 especially (unbalanced 2v3 or 1v2 matches don’t work for it).

My definition and practice for turtleing is to first build up an army and defensive turrets around the base. For Banished I prefer three fully upgraded turrets and either a cloak or shield; for UNSC four AA turrets or four vehicle turrets work best. The army being built up should have Kodiaks or Blisterbacks (Blisterbacks work as AA too, so they are very valuable in both regards for defense), then deployed on nearby hills and ridges. If possible I spend resources to the armory to upgrade the strength of the base so it doesn’t fall as quickly. Then inside this defensive shell “like a turtle” I just wait for the enemy to come and let them fall on my “trap” for them. I drop as many leader powers and buffs as soon as the battle starts to give troops an edge. As long as my resources are coming in good, I can still produce troops and turrets to replenish anything lost before the next enemy wave comes in.

This strategy can be used in tandem with a teammate on the offensive. Let the most likely base to be attacked by the enemy (as in something closer to the frontlines) be turtled. Then let your ally build an offensive attack mix, air unit spam, Cyclops, locust, etc… When the enemy attacks the base they take the “bait” wasting their army and resources on a hardened target. While the turtle is being a bullet sponge, the offensive army of the other player marches in to the enemy base and attacks them while their army is away. Leader powers such as unit drops can keep the offensive army in shape to keep fighting, while the enemy has wasted their resources on trying to break the turtle.

Something like this. You win by boring your enemy.

Play as Anders. 8 Kodiaks, the rest being wolverines. AA turrets in the front, siege in the back. Simple. A whole army of Colossi couldn’t get through these defenses.

Idk. Its possible. Artillery needs a buff

Howdy! Well, you said you wanted to know how to Turtle. I think I’ve been doing a good job for the 8+ years I’ve had this account.

(I’m joking, of course)

Here we are:

Anders: Sentinel Beacon+Synegy, Kodiak+Wolvie spam. Serina may also work for turtling.

Turtling works best with leaders who have great defensive abilities, like colonies combat repair and living wall, and serina’s advanced cryogenics and ice barrier (there are a few other abilites which work really well) and few other heroes, the high ground is important as you gain more line of sight and a damage buff, it’s best to out artillery on the high ground (blisterbacks and Kodiaks) having a mix of “anti” troops is a must but if you scout ahead and see what they are building it might be more wise to build the appropriate counter unit, however you should always keep a mix of units, super/Ultimate units may help in super turtles due to their huge strength compared to other units. Also it’s more fun to do a super turtle in a 2v2 with a friend. :3
