How to tell if opponents are a party?

It’s not that big a deal, I was just curious if there was a way to tell if your enemies are a group. Sometimes after I get my butt whooped in big team I would like to know.

Anyone know how? Thanks in advance.

The only way I know is if they are all talking to each other before a match, otherwise I have no idea.

Matching names and emblems, and color coordination.

But really, I don’t know of any way. I liked that H3 had the bar connecting parties, and Halo: Reach grouped them together in lobbies.

When the game starts forms teams in the pregame lobby with 6v4, that is a good indicator.

Good question… With a magic glass ball?
I cant understand it…

There isn’t a way to tell in Halo 4. I’m not sure why since you could easily tell in Reach and 3.

I thought you could ‘click’ on a name in the list and see who else is in their party

If your teammates are all in a party together, then you will be more likely to match another team. You can hear your opponents talk in the post game lobby if they are still in the game. That’s one way to tell. Another would be to look at their friends list to see if they are all on each others list. Other than that, if they are really coordinated, that would be the only other way to tell.

You can’t hear opponents talk in the pregame lobby. They probably made it that way so people would stop getting mute banned. Although, people still do get mute banned.

You can tell it’s just more difficult then before…
When people or party’s are incoming THE PLAYER card’s will blink with the party size
All blinking at the same time = party
All blinking at a slightly different time = No in a party

i thought its that bubble over their card, if all 4 have a bubble that means they’re all in a party lol

unless that means mics, but even then, if 4 ppl have a mic they’re probably in a party

It’s a pretty annoying UI omission. It was handy to know in Halo 3/Reach if I lost because my skills weren’t up to par, or if it was simply a case of randoms vs a party (which I usually quit out of, 'cos nobody got time for lopsided match ups like that). It’s annoying me in Halo 4 now, because I’ve suddenly started sucking at the game - but I don’t know if that’s because I’m being matched with parties, or if my skills are just below par at the moment.

I will have to pay attention to this next time I’m playing. Thanks for the tip!

yep its total BS that they are hiding parties from randoms. If Im copping a beating its doesnt seem as bad if I know its against a party.
