I find it hard to keep focused on playing cautiously and end up getting angry at the multiple grenades that keep getting thrown and me and then just go on tilt and rush to my death a bajillion times. Does anyone have any suggestions of methods to stop getting angry or going on tilt in Halo?
I’m not looking for the easy ‘don’t get mad’ answer, but rather another method (like thinking about something else, or different frames of mind.)
Lol it’s tough. Sometimes everything will be going great, then all of a sudden the enemy catch up and you’re losing. The only advice I can give is to try to remain calm and focus. Remember power weapons, overshield, map position etc. And above all try to remember it’s only a game and have fun!
I find free for all the most stressful of all gametypes, it’s so easy to go from 1st place to last place, and can get frustrating. I’ll be about to get a kill and someone else will steal it, and then kill me while I’m weak. RAGE!

THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! UGH haha. Thanks man, that really helps! I just find grenades to make me mad for some reason. like how you could be totally out-shooting everyone in the game but you go negative because every death was caused by a grenade exploding near you making you weak…
Just got to keep a cool head and look for an opening to take advantage of. Rushing in will most often get you killed especially if your raging mad. Wait for the enemy to make a mistake and sometimes one of those mistakes is them throwing grenades blindly at you.
Teammates. Even if they’re not communicating - stay close. Keep them on radar. And don’t lone wolf it into buildings unless you’re feeling it. The vast majority of my deaths are results from 2v1’s.

Remember that it takes a high level of Aspergers to get good at this game.
I log off, do something that makes me laugh, then log back on, giggling.
One of the things I like to do is use the inspect tool on my internet browser to temporarily change the text on screen. Like earlier today, I found a news article about Donald Trump and I used inspect to replace every “Donald Trump” on the page with “Santa Claus”. Then I brought a few friends over, telling them I found a weird news article and laughed as I watched their reactions.
If I go into a funk sometimes I just grab the Ghost and try gunning the opponents down. Sometimes all you need is a few shots then your teammates will finish them off for the assist. Another thing you can do is try being the driver for a Warthog gunner. Just make sure the other team doesn’t have the Laser (or try to stay away from it) and try not to put your gunner too much in risk (drive to protected areas to let him get his shield up).
Also, if playing objective, focus on defense, etc.

LOL that’s great! Maybe that’s the best idea, but I find I need to get warmed up to actually play at my best in halo, and that taking a break for a while kinda ‘cools’ me off, so I have to warm up again!

This is fun if you are in, say, Warzone or BTB, I do tend to do this time to time, but in arena? It’s in the competitive scene, where stakes are high, that I seem to get the most aggravated
If you are getting angry at the game, just take a break, playing something else, grab some food and a drink and come back when you have cooled off. It’s just a game.
Do the opposite of whatever you usually do. Instead of running straight ahead when you spawn, turn around and try a different route. If you hang out in certain areas of the map, try another spot. Seriously. Try it. See what happens.
You could always try quitting. Unplugging my Xbox usually helps with the rage quits. The game is simply not worth the emotional effort. The only time I used to get mad at Halo, is if my team lost a really close ranked match. Now I cant even enjoy a casual BTB match because of how garbage Halo 5’s mechanics are.
