Gonna make this brief but I was thinking on how can spartan ops start off and then it hit me.

DROP PODS!!!
including the drop from space?, that would be pretty epic
but i think include other ways like sitting in a pelican with your 4 buddies and other forms of transport
Well, according to the Halsey Journal MJOLNIR Mark VII can accomplish orbital drops (or something like that). Maybe that little detail had more meaning than we thought.

But I thought SPARTAN-IV were given a light MJOLNIR varient? But then again it was said the Mark VII felt lighter, maybe thats another hint on our armor?

Exactly! Except without the EMP blast and the 6 hours of snoozing. This time I think we should get to drop from UNSC Infinity and land with your team UNHARMED.

Agreed. I think dropping into hell on every mission would get old quickly so maybe let us do it once or twice.

If they let us control the drop pod, it would actually be rather fun, and i have played another game that lets you do just that… except you aren’t in a pod (you are just that badass), and you can land on people’s heads if you are lucky. I don’t see halo letting you do that though, so i agree that maybe for an epic opening to some missions it would be cool, but it should be split with other methods of insertion, like pelicans or whatever the new aircraft will be, for example. Make for a cool first mission though. Start off with a bang, so to speak.

If you were replying to me, then yes, exactly like section 8. But like i said, I don’t think Halo would or should turn into something like that game, so it would be cool as a mission starter, but probably nothing more than that. Section 8 was a fun game, and while it has some similarities to halo, it is still a different game.
Seeing as Spartan Ops is a second campaign storyline with a set of 5 missions each chapter release I am sure that Drop Pods will be used at one point, maybe in a mission to get behind enemy lines.
