Im runnin a clan and im very new to this so i was wondering if you guys have any tips to spot fake players
Do you mean smurf accounts? You can usually tell because they will have HCS in their name, low SR rank, and little to no gamerscore. You can also look at how long they have had their xbox account, when you do view profile it will say how many years they have has the account.
How tell if there’s a smurf?
Let’s see:
- Automatically generated gamertag (mostly) - Weird names on their GT (usually but not always) - Low Gamerscore - Low SR with ridiculously high competitive rankI won’t blame 343i for these problems as the Xbox One can let you play online as long someone sets it as their home Xbox and has a gold membership on their account. In general, this is a player-created problem but 343i should take in some part to fix issue which I think they are currently investigating on.

They also usually have the automatically-generated service tag too.
Halo 5 is a smurf factory

I’m not a smurf… I had a diff gamertag, but Microsoft said it was inappropriate, even though it wasn’t, but that’s a bit off topic, so just ignore that…

It’s best to stick with your first account and nothing more. It’s a shame that some people out there can’t learn to take a completely painless “L” and move on.
I think the OP is talking about clan related stuff such as spies, assassins, and trolls etc.

“spies”, “assassins”, “trolls”, what the heck is all of this? I thought we were playing Halo, not assassins creed…
How to tell a smurf: If they outplay you hard and use intense strafing against you

Did you not read my entire sentence? It’s clan related stuff.

Well you can’t be a smurf if you have a high SR with your auto-gen gamertag so there’s gonna be some exceptions that’ll distinguish a smurf & a legit account.

He doesn’t know even the basics if I had to guess, and (to him) I would suggest he stay that way for the most part…
As for the OPs post; you can’t. Not really. The definition of “fake” is a flexible one as well, since some people join and dont intend to do anything, or dont know what they’re doing, or simply dont get along and then quit…
As with most clan things, there is no set answer and that inability to put down a line in the sand causes inevitable issues.

I was just joking… cause those are some silly names
In all seriousness, nobody uses the recruit emblem. So there you go. Recruit emblem? Smurf.
Not trying to sound like a jerk, but did you guys even fully read what he said, he’s taking about clans, like you see on the Custom browser and what Reach had, he’s not talking about Smurfs,
My resposne to to this guy- the fakes players you are know as Spies, Mercs/Assassins & Trolls, they are hard to be spotted so, be sure to check or listen carefully
