So I’ve always been a great sniper in other FPS. And I can actually snipe pretty well in Halo Reach too. But only if its a huge map. What I don’t understand is how people can get headshots so quickly and in such close quarters in team snipers. Do they just no scope? Or are they ADS? Also, my aim isn’t bad. I’m actually a pretty great SWAT player.
No scoping man. Basically practise using it like a shotgun. I sort of just jump and thrash my shot towards the head area. You’d be surprised how quickly you start getting close range one shot kills. Not that a fair amount of my shots aren’t flukes but fudge it makes you feel like a badass when you connect.
Difficult for me to snipe in any Halo game. In Reach, when using the DMR, it’s like I have Aimbot, but with the Sniper, makes me feel like a Stormtrooper. I can get some kills tho, but I think my missed shots makes me think I’m the worst Sniper in Halo history (my belief, but I know there’s people who can’t actually snipe).
Practice headshotting elites with the sniper rifle in firefight.
Practice practice practice.
Noscope and melee are the best for close quarters

True
Noscoping is definitely a big thing, but also quickzooming (I don’t like to say quickscoping for Halo because there’s no animation). Noscoping is just like in SWAT, there’s just much less forgiveness for accuracy. DMRs just have more aim assist for hipfiring, so playing SWAT is already a good way to noscope better.
