So guys all you gotta do is hold the smart link button and depending on the weapon you will either need to hold the Firing button button or press it repeatedly.

( Side note: Not attacking anyone, this is just a prime example of what happens when you leave banshees unattended, especially Ultras.)
Yeah, it can be pretty frustrating when you are the only member of your team actually trying to take one down.
Banshees need to be targeted by everyone on the team…it’ll go down pretty quickly when you actually have coordination. But it kills me when a banshee appears and everyone runs and hides instead of firing at it.
Anytime an opposing team brings out a banshee our company immediately calls it out and everyone (that can at the moment) concentrates fire on it. They never last very long after that. If you have 6 or 7 people putting fire on one at the same time it’ll go down QUICK!

I got disabled at least 6-7 times and jacked once. I managed to re-jack it luckily. Average game.
I may die a couple times but anytime I’m the only one shooting at a banshee the kinetic bolt DMR works wonders
Team play is your best bet solo gameplay is not the intention of any halo 5 game mode (except FFA) Teams that shoot move and communicate well end up on top and will farm you until you leave. So go in to matches with friends so you can kill this banshees.

The SMG with kinetic is the best. I can sometimes win a 1v1 with a ghost if I’m crafty enough.
Either way, 4 or 5 people with SMG kinetics on your team shooting at ANY vehicle and it will be dead very quickly.

I can relate too
I don’t know, every game I played - a banshee is like a big <Kill me> sign in the sky and everyone starts shooting at it.

I always bring in a weapon with kinetic bolt when a banshee appears. DMR is my favorite choice if I’m at the req level.
