I started the download of Halo as I saw in a MS newsletter that there was a “free” version for PC. Then, the download display showed me that it was going to take up 36GB of space, I ABORTED IMMEDIATELY.
Despite that, on restart during the night, it downloaded anyway… picking up 50GB of PRIME SSD SPACE ON MY LAPTOP. I guess I can at least be thankful that I don’t have to pay extra for the bandwidth, my data plan is unlimited.
I looked around, and used disk cleanup to remove the crap in “delivery optimization”
But now, I have a directory “microsoft.halo5forge” taking up 36GB of hard disk space in “c:\program file\windowsapps” that I can’t access and where I can’t change access rights EVEN WITH ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS.
Halo isn’t even registered as an application, and doesn’t show up in search from the start menu. How can a fully installed directory taking 36GB of space NOT EVEN SHOW UP IN SEARCH ???
HOW DO I REMOVE THIS THING THAT I NEVER EVER WANTED ON MY COMPUTER?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide help.
