Is it me or do I get tense when I shoot. I could be in a 1v1 scenario, sniping, or close to an over kill and half the time I’m not even being shot at can anyone give tips to relax while playing as I feel my shot is good at the level I play for the moment I just cant relax my hands or mind in intense situations
One of the things that I do when i feel like i’m antsy, or not consistent with my shooting, is lowering my sensitivity. This allows me to slow down a bit and feel more in control. Then slowly work your way back up. Or you may find that playing at a lower sensitivity is just better for you.

Also, one of th biggest tips i can give people is to turn vibration off on their controllers. In my opinion, this makes everything feel more accurate and more controllable.
I wish I had the answer to this. I have Clench Protection enabled and it still manage to melee in the middle of a gunfight.
There are times when I am a little more relaxed than others, and that’s when I make a conscious effort to relax. Take one 1v1 at a time. Don’t go running around without a thought to positioning and where my teammates are. Finally don’t beat myself up for losing a 1v1.
It’s a process, and some games are better than others. Have fun. Not much else to do.
I’ll be honest, this is the least relaxing shooter I have ever played. With exception to the more wacky gametypes I’m almost always on the edge of my seat and tense as hell.
I love it but Halo 5 is probably one of the most draining games I’ve ever played.
As for how to relax, I’d warm up on fiesta or BTB before moving to ranked. If you feel your self starting to clench up move back to social for a bit before hitting ranked again.
This is going to sound stupid, but I’m gonna say it anyway. Take a breath and just realize it’s a game and you’re supposed to be having fun. If I ever feel stressed or tense up during a match, that’s what I do. And if I still get all worked up, I just take a break. I always end up playing better, making better decisions, shooting better, when I’m just having fun.
A lot of it for me is not thinking I’m in a situation like that. That helps sometimes but imo the best relaxer so to say are friends. If I’m playing ranked or BTB or whatever and I’m talking to my friends in the party having fun laughing they don’t even have to be in the game I’m having a great time and not really worried about the match in front of me which In turn allow for smoother almost natural game play from me

Sometimes I just sit back on my chair and that allows me to forcefully relax sometimes. It was better on my couch when I played on a tv but it still helps somewhat on chair for monitor.

I will admit though out of all the competetive matches and games I played halo 5 is the only one that makes me feel this way haha. If that’s good or bad that’s for one to decided

Yea my flat mates constantly laugh at me because i start out sprawled across the couch but by the end i’m hunched over the controller glaring at the screen.
I do octagon for about half an hour and i get to a point where i dont really have to think about my aiming, it becomes more like a reaction.
When the server sucks however aiming is back on my mind and its hard to aim again.

That’s always been a problem with me. What annoyed me the most was when I was in those tense situations using the 360 controller. If I would tense up in a gunfight, due to the way I held my controller, my finger would end up hitting the right bumper causing me to melee or reload in the middle of the fight and dying. What’s worse is when I knew I would’ve beaten them and then they teabagged me.
I would say to realize you’re about to be in that situation and try to manually calm yourself.
