How to properly fly a banshee

Man, I see a lot of really bad pilots on behemoth, I see them attacking flat and low, getting shot up with no kills to show, even on the ground trying to get splatters or something only to get skyjacked.

So here are a few tips. Fly high and flat, well outside the range of most guns. Keep the camera trained forward so you are not loosing altitude, and look for targets on the ground by physically looking down with your eyes at the bottom of the screen.

When you spot a target, boost up then curve over and swoop down at them at a steep angle. Drop a bomb, then swap to the plasma guns for a barrage, then fire a second bomb before pulling up and returning to cruising altitude.

The steep angle maximizes your hit probability with the bomb, and staying high and at this angle let’s you keep outside of grapple hook range while minimizing their chance to fight back effectively.

Thanks for the tip!

The banshee always felt a bit awkward on behemoth to me

I noticed this too. I recently started playing the campaign and I will be getting used to the banshee there. I used it a few times in multiplayer and it just felt different. Or I could be out of touch it has been a really long break from Halo.

Kind Regards,
