How to properly balance spartan charge.

If you see it coming you should be able to stop it.
.
First off the issues.
1-It’s nothing but a panic button
2-it can be performed after falling
3-you can do it arround corners. Too much turn freedom
4-shooting doesn’t prevent spartan charge users.

SOLUTIONS
1- if your reticle is on someone you should be able to cancel their charge with meele.
2- add the stopping power feature from custom games, in multiplayer. To have bullets knock them out of max sprint.
3- nerf it’s auto aim feature / make it dodge able.

I believe you should be able to counter a face to face charge.
If timed correctly.
Especially of you see it coming.

No, here’s how to nerf it:

Don’t.

I hate spartan charge in swat. It’s so over powered and there’s always that one guy that basically runs in circles charging everyone. Even when you shoot them they seem to be able to just run through your bullets like they’re nothing.

If I’m zoomed in and get shot it knocks me out of the zoom… if you hit someone charging it should knock them out of the charge.

The actual way to do nerf it is to DELETE EVERYTHING!!! You delete everything, you will not be affected by its OPness.

But seriously, they just need to get rid of Spartan Charge.

You can easily dodge a spartan charge with your thrusters or better yet move out of the way since spartan charge can only got straight. You can even melee the guy the spartan charges you if you time it right and its basically an equal gun fight afterwards

The charge is fine, hell I find people rarely use it. and they are easy to dodge if you know how to move. the problem lies not with the ability but “your” ability to dodge. I recommend practicing with a buddy in customs with each map so you can learn how to counter the charge and grab the bull by the horns. And even still sometimes all it does is strip the shields, grenades and ground pounds do that too, should we delete them to not being an option?

Spartan charge is fine. I honestly don’t get killed by it too much so I don’t really care. Maybe stop putting yourself in position to be charged OP.

It’s usefull but…
Should be counter able in face to face attempts.

In the back = kill
In the side = shield break
In the front = should be counter able but act as normal if it lands.

I usually shoot them as they approach.
And the punch kills them…but…
My shields are still broken…
. Ading a counter anti charge feature.
If you see it coming.

i just learned how to do spartan charge. and i tried it out on someone unsuspecting from behind, it was overkill, i felt like it was cheating it should be nerfed.

assassinations require stealth approach from behind and if the opponent is not aware then choke is fair game; but if you walk around a corner and bam! spartan charge (one hit kill) someone before they can fairly react then this is sort of unfair imo. but i hope 343 stays committed and keep it in the game so they will eventually see the damage it is causing for gamers learn the (hard way). because why would they apply something like this to halo? may as well apply the one shot kill shotguns and run everyone away from this game, yay! not

Also seeing as the radar is so short.
You can’t tell sometimes before it’s too late.

If people can move this fast there should be some kind of warning.
If someone’s going to charge they are usually sprinting and looking at you.

Maybe a new radar feature to detect sprinters at the edge of your radar?

its actually not…the person who charges has a delay before they can shoot again, the person getting hit does not.

The charge does NOT only go straight, I’ve had it come around corners at me, I’ve had people run off ledges and hit me with it I’ve also had it dash up in the air and hit me, the lock on needs to be removed.

More often than not, I kill the person that charges me from the front. I just melee and fire a burst into their heads. If I know it’s coming from the side, then a quick thrust backwards or to the side to avoid him. Can’t do much if you are unaware of the charge behind you.

The mechanic is fine, just learn to avoid it.

Yes^
You have to do soo much to stop or avoid a charge.
Even when you thrust it hits. (Sometimes)

Just need at least 1 balancing feature.

Change the Spartan charge so that instead of a shoulder charge you can only give each other a firm handshake.

Spread the friendship Spartans!!!

How about a gentle cheek kiss? Eh?

Also, make it so that the charger can’t shoot so fast afterwards.

Or just take it out all together.

The auto ain feature is the biggest pos of the Spartan Charge. Even if I thrust out of the way, I still get hit with it. Im always like, “Why do I even try.” If there sprinting towards you theres almost nothing you can do. And I ddo agree that if tgey get shot it should know then out of Sprint.

AMEN!

Nerfing ruins games…
