as much MW3 as possible?
I would just play a mixture of Halo 3 and Halo Reach… Work on your BR and DMR,
Might help for swat, though headshots are usually accidental in that game…

rofl
Halo 3 Ranked BR starts.
Halo: Reach ZB slayer custom game with an increased sensitivity of +1.
That’s how I’d train.
Get good with a persuasion rifle. BR or DMR will work perfectly. Get a buddy, make/find a small map to train on and practice for hours. Pace your shots appropriately and lead your shots when necessary. If you want a good map for training DMR I made one special for this type of deal, if you want it let me know and it’s yours.
Practice makes perfect. Good luck man.

Alcohol.
In all seriousness though, go into matchmaking with friends. That helped me with previous Halo games.

How is this even possible? Halo 3’s netcode is HORRIBLE. How could he prepare his BR in a game that not only has a br with a slower rate of fire, but the bullets dont eve go where they are suppose to. Not to mention the sensitivity differences between 3 and 4 are very awkward. Reach is extremely smooth / responsive and makes halo 3 feel like a clunky mess in terms of precision aiming.
The only way to really work on a BR close to halo 4 is halo 2 since the Rate of fire in the BR from the conan clip is very close to the rate of fire of the halo 2 br. that clip of course isnt final but its pretty sure that the br will fire faster than halo 3’s if it has a 5 shot lol
At the end of the day, playing halo 3 + reach constantly is going to create a very confused and disoriented halo player in halo 4.

Learn the basics of how team work works in Halo. Calling out, team shooting, smart map movement, and good aim is all you need. Having friends who are also decent/good is a bonus but having good aim is what ties the team strategy together. You can have the best tactics but because you and your team are getting outslayed, you won’t be able to execute.
Sure there will be a TON of changes for Halo 4 but practicing the above principles will decrease the chances of you being smashed by randoms in MM.
Play more MM in Reach and throw some custom games and practice. That’s how you get it done Spartan.
Do not, i repeat do NOT believe anyone who says controlling power weapons is noobish. They are the noobs for not getting them and are in fact butt hurt because they are the ones dying (which is why you never hear them complain when they pick one up)
So please, go after the Ordnance drops in Halo 4 and show no mercy.
Keys that would help:
- Practice Aim; Aim will have to be better since recoil will play a factor in Halo 4
- DMR Pace; DMR is paced, fixed shots in Halo 4 (spamming in Reach isn’t going to help at all)
- Map Control; Halo 4’s maps are based on competitiveness (so Map Control will play a major factor and will teamwork for that map; Is your team controlling the major point?)
- Teamwork; Halo 4 is gonna have teamwork play a major factor (who’s controlling top with DMR?; who’s calling out with Promethean Vision? is your team controlling the major point? are you calling out?)
- Power Weapon Control; While power weapons will be a little different in Halo 4, controlling them, better with teamwork, will be major factor; do you know the next time Rockets will be up?
- Armor Abilities; While Sprint will be a major in Halo 4, don’t get used to pressing X to Sprint all the time, you’ll get confused; Use other Armor Abilites, such as Camo, Hologram, and Jetpack as majors
- Other Weapons; In Halo 4, you’re not going to just have your reliable BR/DMR at all times, you’re going to have to use an AR, Plasma Pistol, Needler, etc… use guns you wouldn’t normally use (remember though, Halo 3’s BR is NOT Halo 4’s due to hitscan differences, BR practice in Halo 4 will NOT help at all; Reach’s Magnum IS Halo 4’s Magnum WITHOUT the scope, so don’t get too used to that scope now)
- Grenades; Grenades in Halo 4 are NOT Reach’s; Try not to rely on Reach’s mininukes as much now; Think how Halo 3’s work, more as support for Frags and killing for Plasmas
