Or people could just press Mute on their remote controls. It’s not like they’re going to stick around on the main menu when they put the game in their console. :I
Why go through all that extra trouble when you can just solve the problem by ignoring or pressing the Mute button.
I fail to see what this thread is going to accomplish.

You could do what I did. Seriously. I mean, it was an accident, but it’s been FANTASTIC!
My xbox fell over with Halo in it. I freaked out. The xbox is fine. Nothing broke, didn’t even fall hard. The disk, however, has a MASSIVE circular scratch in it. I’ve played all the way through the campaign, been playing MM just fine, and even visited Spartan Ops (ugh), and they all seem unaffected…
The only difference is:
NO MUSIC. EVER.
And no announcer at the beginning of rounds… but hey, I’ll take it! I just wish I hadn’t bought a digital copy in my panic… only to realize that this copy still works AND they are totally screwing ANYONE who paid at ALL for any DLC over the past year. I mean, come on, I’ve played barely any games on any of those maps, and now kids can grab it for cents on the dollar. Sweet.
At least my xbox still works and will be able to play Destiny and keep up Halo 4 MM!
Sorry OP, but this isn’t really anything new. In fact I think this has been the case with any game since the Xbox 360 was released. I’ve done it numerous times with various games.
> Well, people complain about it so get a CD, get the songs on your console, play a song, pause it, boom, title screen music gone

> If you also want to play Campaign and Spartan Ops without music, this should work also, the sounds effects are still there
This is what I do every time I play Halo 4. I find the new menu music to be a bit aggravating and it can sometimes affect my performance a bit in battle. You have to be fast in order to completely avoid the Moaning Lady and I consider it to be a nice little finger warm-up.
I haven’t bought a CD since the 90’s, so I had to dig one up out of my garage. For me the Halo 4 menu music is “My Name Is Mud”.
