How to play map pack maps offline?

Hello all! Just had some questions regarding DLC map packs and other DLC content for Halo reach!

So recently I had loaded on all of my DLC for reach (flaming head, officer armor, all map packs, etc) onto my hard drive thru a temporary wifi connection, but the system still reconized my account on to a silver live account, even though that’s not cotrect. I only wish to have my DLC available offline on my hard drive, so I can play these maps/dlc offline. If that makes sense. Any suggestions?

-Edit-: I believe you would need Xbox LIVE Gold and an internet connection to verify that you are the owner of the DLC content if I am not mistaken in order for it to show up. Hope this helps and have a nice day now.

And that’s fine, But all my DLC Works perfectly for halo 3/halo 4 offline, of both armor and map packs. any idea why Reach doesnt work for DLC offline?

My next question is your copies of Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo: Reach. Are they physical copies or digital copies? I ask as you can run into problems with the digital copies. From my experience, Halo 3 theater corrupts very easily for some really interesting eye candy with digital copies, and with Halo: Reach, if I am offline, I have to use the disc as otherwise it doesn’t recognize me as the owner of the digital copy (I have both a physical disc and the rights to download the digital copy from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace compliments of Games with Gold). Also with the physical copy of Reach that I own oddly, if I access the Armory before playing a matchmaking, forge, or campaign, the game locks up.

Oddly, Minecraft Xbox 360 version did the same thing to me on the 360, that if I did not have an Online Connection, it would not recognize me as the owner of the digital copy, limiting me to a trial mode, causing me to have to also buy the physical copy for whenever my old Verizon Router would time out (As it did often) and boot me offline for extended durations despite hard resetting the router multiple times.

Digital copies of games can be wonky like that where it doesn’t recognize you as the owner of the DLC or the digital game itself offline, which when all else fails as much as I disliked it from my experience, going out and getting the disc was the way to bypass it. However in one or two cases, I found that digital content can accidentally be corrupted if a solid connection is not present, causing for me to have to redownload it.

So I guess trying to redownload the content would be a good first step if you can get an internet connection again, and then testing it to make sure, and then if that fails, buying a physical copy of Reach if you only have a digital copy would be my other recommendation. You are on an Xbox One, correct?

My solution was using a silver account that didn’t own the dlc to buy the dlc (which is free now) on the console I wanted to play offline on. That way that particular console “owns” the dlc.

Yes! I actually have a physical copy of reach, and I am on 360! So the best thing to do would just to be downloading the content again?

So are you saying I have to use another account? But I only have one account! Could you elaborate what you mean if you don’t mind me asking?

Sounds like the DLC Content may have been corrupted. I would say look into clearing your system cache, deleting the existing DLC Files and then downloading them again.

Is there a way i can do all of that offline?

You only have to use a different account temporarily. If your console “owns” the dlc, then any account no matter what can play that dlc offline on that one console forever. If your only account already “owns” the dlc, but you didn’t purchase that dlc on the console you want to play on, then you can’t play it offline, only online. To solve this, make a silver dummy account, then use it to “buy” the dlc, (which is free), then switch back to your main account and enjoy your dlc offline at your leisure and forever on that one console. I’ve had to use this work around myself and it worked on 2 of my spare xbox 360 consoles I saved just for the sole purpose of archiving all my Reach and Halo 3 forge maps and gametypes, so that everything is LAN party ready next time I plug it all back in.

Yeah but here’s the interesting thing about that. Certain aspects of halo 3 and 4 that would be considered “DLC” work offline perfectly on my account (like the mythic map packs, and for Halo 4, the odst, mark 5, and prefect armors, as well as all of the forest armor and weapons skins/prime skins.) But when I load up halo Halo reach NO DLC showx up whatsoever. So do you think it’s game specific?
