How to perfect Super Fiesta

Remove weapon dropping simple as that. Got a Prophet’s Bane and don’t wanna loose it to the enemy? Problem frickin’ solved! Players should have to deal with what they spawn with, and not rely on someone else’s weaponry.

EDIT: Also disable radar.

I think what you proposing is stupid. With all due respect. For example when i lose a heartseeker. I go try to recover it a quickly as i can. I dont start complaining that i lost an amazing weapon. I mostly agree with the no radar though.

I play custom fiesta with my friends with no weapon drop and no radar, and despite not having Reqs in custom fiesta yet, we all agree it’s better than Super Fiesta for 3 reasons:

  1. Surviving as long as possible with a single weapon set

  2. Having to rely on sight and sound rather than a radar

  3. Playing on our own custom made maps instead of the terribly designed dev maps.

Both of those things are horrible ideas. I keep what I kill, don’t want to lose that prophet’s bane? Don’t die with it.

That was how Fiesta used to be if I’m not mistaken.

Hey genius, this is Halo 5, y’know wall clipping, craptacular hitscan, etc…? Don’t die is not a viable option.

Yes it is how fiesta used to be, I play it tradtionally, not whatever sorry excuse it is now. Don’t get me wrong I like having Reqs in Super Fiesta, but that’s the ONLY thing about Super Fiesta I like, I hate the map rotation, the radar, the weapon pickup/dropping, and the godawful spawns.

The biggest improvement to this mode would be taking loadout weapons out of the pool. There have been way too many times that I have spawned with 2 loadout weapons. Just make this mode all power weapons and it would be fun.

It certainly is an option and if I spawn with an AR and Magnum and manage to kill you I deserve whatever you were carrying.

I’m sorry, what? When has not dying never been a viable option in Multiplayer, for God’s sake? Now, I don’t know about the hitscan thing and the only time I’ve seen wall clipping was in a Warzone game, so I can’t call that out. But seriously, even with those glitches, you’re bound to at least get SOME kills. Most of the time you get a Rocket Launcher anyways so there’s that.

And anyways, that’s the whole point of Fiesta. Every time you spawn, you get something random. You pick up new stuff from dead people. Seriously, if you only get a set loadout for the entire game that’s randomly calculated, I can nearly 100% guarantee you that you will spawn with a bad loadout at least ONCE. Would you really want to stay with only the base storm rifle and plasma pistol and nothing else? Or how about a needler and an AR? Doesn’t sound like fun to me.

If you want to play better in fiesta, scavenge the battlefield of weapons!

Was the old Fiesta also horrible? Because it never allowed you to pick up items.

No, not really, in fact it was pretty good, I don’t remember which Halo game did that, I think it was either 2 or 3, but the Fiesta MM was really good without weapon pickup.

What you are suggesting is ridiculous, not only would you have the chance of spawning with weak weapons and not being able to replace them, but if you spawned in with really good guns, you run the chance of running out of ammo and not being able to replace them

Yeah this is what I was thinking. I think super fiesta is great how it is.

exactly, and you cant fix running out of ammo by giving infinate ammo either, because lets say you’re a really good player and you get the nornfang at the start of the game. with your skill set, you would be able to absoluty destroy the enemy with at least 30+ kills while they cant really do anything because they cant pick up aother stronger weapons like a rocket from one of your dead team-mates or from their fallen allies.

If you can’t get a kill with weak weapons using strategy, then you aren’t a Spartan.

It’s pretty weird reading these replies, I don’t even like Fiesta but I know that it never had pickups and it also had infinite ammo.

It’s like you guys never played Fiesta up until Halo 5.

Here’s how I play Fiest in customs:

  • No weapon drop/pickup

  • No radar

  • No thrusters

  • No Spartan Charge

  • Finite Ammo

All of my friends say they prefer playing that over anything in Halo 5’s matchmaking? Why? Because unlike Super Fiesta/Normal Fiesta in Arena, we don’t need to rely on the crutch of other peoples weaponry as we rely on our own sklll, Fiesta isn’t about winning, it’s about having fun.

They probably haven’t, if you wanna play real fiesta sometime, hit me up.
