With any of the sniper weapons (Beam rifle, H2 Beam Rifle, Binary Rifle and the UNSC Sniper Rifle) Preferably with the UNSC one due to the amount of ammo you get, shoot the purplish visor, should be only a few shots and evoila you’ve defeated the grunt goblin after 20 attempts and only 1 successful try.
Better yet on at least two maps, you can get him to jump off the map. I got him to leap to his death on Snowbreak and I’ve seen it happen on ARC. Very funny when it happens.

On Storm break I was on the bridge where he drops in and I stayed on the bridge between the armory and the middle base (i forget the name). you know it. It has a very deep drop one side. I just stayed crouched out of his range but close enough for him to know I was there. So he jumped off the ledge trying to jump behind me like he does. Very funny. Same thing has happened on ARC behind the garage. Go to the cliff behind the garage if him lands where Warden Eternal normally is. He will try to drop in behind you not realizing there is nothing for him to land on But you need to stay crouched and out of range of his needles.
The Grunt boss is highly irritating. I’ll try that sniper tactic!

I usually just grab a Splaser and hit the cockpit shield a couple times, then headshot it with a loadout. Sniper works too, I guess, but I like using the Laser on it better.

The translucent cover found on top of the Grunt Goblin is what I’m calling the cockpit shield. Not sure if that’s what you’re calling the visor.

I’m confused didn’t they patch that cause it was a bug
As many time’s as I’ve faced the Grunt Goblin. I’ve never witnessed or been able to get his visor/cockpit to open. Although, my best mate did and one shotted him sometime back.
I’m not sure why but there are a lot of bosses that are one shot able that don’t seem to be one shot able.
Ive seen legendary banshees, wraiths, mantises, Knights get 1 shot as soon as they spawn and the announcer has barely started speaking of their arrival.
It is now patched as the OP left a big gap from the last post around October to now in November. Please do not revive old threads.
