How to not join a mid game session

For those who complain and for less rage quits. I found this tutorial by accident:

When enterning a mid game Lobby

*Click Start.
*Go Settings and Files.
*Go nework.
*Go my Xbox.

*Do the same liek the other first 3 steps
*Click “Xbox Live”.

Good solution, but there should definitely be a feature to “Opt-Out” of the join in progress if you want to.
