How To Make Your Farm-Killed Experience Enjoyable!

I thoroughly enjoy Halo 5, and have loads of fun playing Warzone - this is not a rant! Just a lighthearted take on being farm-killed, because it finally happened to me. I’ve had some games where there might have been some Spartan agriculture being practiced near the end of the game, but this one definitely had a harvest plan in place.

Before I get to tips, here’s a quick run down: map was Noctus, our team cleared the base pretty quick, moved on to Monument, started capping it while capping our armory. I got taken out, and when I respawned, we had our armory but Blue Team was now capping Monument. They got it, and for a bit we held onto our armory while pushing on Monument. We fought well, my friends, but not well enough - they took our armory and pushed us into our base. In short order it was clear that they were bringing in the tractors and tillers and combines - no push on the core, just a killing zone outside our base. Luckily this ended at about the 12 min mark, when a couple a Blue guys showed some mercy & blew right on in and took out the core.

Tips To Enjoy Your Farming Experience:

  1. Make an effort to escape, you’ll feel better if though you’ll likely die. (Who knows, you might get lucky!)
  2. Don’t use your Ghost Ultra for this, use that regular Ghost instead. Because if you use your Ghost Ultra, then you might not feel better at all when it gets blow’d up by that Scorpion. (I tried to bust out twice, used a regular Scorpion and then a Corps Mongoose - throwaway vehicles)
  3. If you’re stuck inside, make them earn their kills. Hang back with a ranged weapon, don’t get up front where half their team can see you and take bets on who gets the kill and who gets the assist. (I loaded out with a Sentinel BR and played sniper from the walkways. Whether or not I got kills didn’t matter, I was disrupting their attempts)

If you’re on Escape From A.R.C, here is a good way to escape, hopefully.

Book it out of home base towards the second launch pad thing, and when you launch off of it, thrust towards the big building that blocks the rocket ship, and use your stabilizers for some extra time in the air, and then clamber. From there, run as fast as all hell towards the north west, or north east, depending on team color, and then clamber up over the fence thing, and thrust into the battle field. Works almost every time. B)

I play arena now simply because of the atrocious amount of farming that takes place, but at least you’re making some good come out of a nasty habit of talentless companies!

If you’re getting base-camped on March on Stormbreak you sneak under the two bridges leading into your base and counter-attack from there. If you happen to have plasma grenades as well…

Only happened once to me on storm break. The enemy team placed a scorpion at the exit of the vehicle spawn in the base. No escape.

Sometimes, when its really hopeless I’ll just run around the home base tea bagging fresh air.
