So I thought of a way to make map and gametype voting in matchmaking fair.
So lets say you go into matchamking, you and 2 other guys vote for Infection on High Noon but everyone else votes for Slayer on Solitary. They get what they wanted. Then when the next voting round comes up the people that got what they voted for only have half a voting power, so the people that didn’t get what they wanted have a good chance to play on the map and gametype they choose. This would be saved to your profile so if you go offline then come back tomorrow to play -if you played what you wanted yesterday, you will still have half a vote today until you play on something you didn’t vote for.
This would make people quit alot less because if they do quit they will still have half a vote so they still have less of a chance to play on their choice. This means they will play through whatever they didn’t want.
It’s early and I’m tired = Bad grammar and layout.
I don’t think that’s a good idea at all. So does it ALWAYS decrease if you get what you want? What if, even with their half votes, they get to play what they want? Then what? Does their “voting power” still decrease? And what if the next game is full of people who got what they wanted? Then how does it work? Just too complicated. One round, one vote works well enough for me.
> Your not being punished. Your giving other people a chance to play what they want. Remember it isn’t only you who gets affected.
You’re right, I’m not the only one being affected but each game is a new game, NO ONE should be socked with a penalty carrying over to a new game for enjoying a specific game/map in one round. Each game is a new chance with a clean slate for everyone.
disagree. thats not the problem with voting. the problem is if theres a tie the map closest to the top is always the winner. they either need to have a revote done with a different set of maps or have the map played to be random.

Absolutely disagree. The voting issue isn’t with people “getting” the map they want, the trouble with the voting is two-fold:
People voting multiple times within the first (or second) voting cycle.
Example:
Slayer on Reflection in 1st position
Elite Slayer on High Noon in 2nd position
Slayer DMR on Pinnacle in 3rd position
None Of The Above in 4th position
What typically happens is you get one or two players who will cycle their vote from, let’s say, Reflection to Pinnacle and back again until the last possible moment when they finally pick the real gametype they want - Elite Slayer on High Noon.
Nothing drives me more nuts than seeing people vote like this after I’ve already selected my choice - which would probably be None of the Above. I think you get ONE vote and then only ONE TIME to change your mind - not this childish game of voting over and over for different maps
Voting system where a tie vote is then determined by position in the list.
Using the same example as previous … let’s say 2 people vote for Reflection, 2 for Pinnacle and 2 for None of the Above. Guess which map we get? Yes … Reflection. The system should immediately hold those 3 choices up and have a re-vote - or if this is not possible then the weight should go to None of the Above since a consensus was not reached. Then people would get a chance to vote again and the 1st vote should not count and we be given another set of choices.
> I think that each player can vote ONLY ONE TIME…
This. I am so sick and tired of seeing the votes change from map to map within seconds of the countdown hitting zero. When you make your choice, that’s it. No more chances.
I liked when we couldn’t vote for the gametype and map because no one complained and you wouldn’t play on the same maps over and over again. I felt that vetoing was fine as it was.

Yeah, no. There’s a reason people don’t like to vote AR starts on Sword Base. They shouldn’t be forced to play it if a majority does not want to play it, hence the existence of the voting system.
I like the current system but id like to see players with guests count as only one vote or individual votes per guest, also I really wish u could only vote once… so ppl can’t scroll and hit A and make it random lol (hate those ppl)
