A few of my friends have been compaining about Spartan Ops not being very fun. I believe it has a lot of potential, but it is far too easy. When I play with 3 other people on Legendary it is an absolute breeze, and as a result it isn’t very fun.
The solution is pretty simple in my eyes. Add lives. That’s all.
If you add a set number of lives either per player, or for the entire team then there will be an incentive to survive. When failure is possible, the mode will become both challenging and fun.
Yea sorry bro, I don’t think adding lives would solve the Spartan Ops problem. As for the connection issue mentioned I play with 3 good friends and as far as I can tell 1 person ALWAYS has a a problem where every few seconds their screen stops for a brief moment as if catching up. But even if that were fixed Spartan Ops would still be lame. What needs to change is this: Do not use recycled Campaign Missions. What, did they think if they put some snow on it we wouldn’t notice? And then they reuse those same areas in the next episode of Spartan Ops. 3 separate times I’ve gone through Sniper Alley. Lame.
I agree with the lives and those lives should be connected to individual players and not a pool, also there should’ve been a meter on the last man standing, if he or she can fill it they can get a teammate back and now the two of them have to hold out till they can re spawn in their entire team.
Then the team has to protect the guy with last of the lives if they want to finish the game, he’s their only tether to the match. When playing solo it should be an option for lives or insta-spawn with a higher payout going to the lives. The real problem is not the game it’s those a-holes who play the game that would find some way to make even this idea a living hell.
> I agree, they should add lives.
> SpOps doesn’t even live up to the awesomeness of Firefight
No, because the kids that run and gun are going to eat up all the lives in the first two minutes and then i get punished for it, no, -Yoink- no!
Fix the lag and add more power weapons and ammo. Play ODST if you want what your looking for, dont impose your ideals on the game to suit such a small population. Look at FF limited, cancelled, brought back and still died a slow pain death to arcadefight.
I would have to agree with those saying connection.
Although Spartan Ops does definitely need these implementations, (lives, skulls, scoring etc.) the connection has to better or you will be unable to reap the benefits of these.

Yeah, giving Halo 4 lives would really make like more interesting. I like Spartan Ops more than firefight because it isn’t simple mindless killing - you do have objectives and a story to follow, but still plenty of waves of bad guys. It’s perfect! Now, the only thing missing is to add individual lives. This actually makes it a challenge when you play, and not just simply grinding through the missions.
Yes, they do. A great number of people played Arcade purely for quickly completely challenges, raising commendations, and getting enough credits to advance and buy that helmet they’ve been eyeing for the past year. The amount of potential credits earned through Arcade dwarfed that of Limited. Had there been more incentive, Limited wouldn’t have failed as it did.
It certainly would make it more intense, however, the griefers who used to enjoy disabling your wraith with a plasma pistol or damaging it (before friendly fire was turned off) would have a new way to ruin the games of others - by deliberately getting themselves killed!
No, FF with Waves of Prometheans is what would be cool.
FRG and jetpack, alongside rocket loadout, and dare we say an IC loadout too.
Imagine that on Exile or Complex
