How to make Assassinations worth it!

When you assassinate someone, why not make it so the red X doesn’t show up on their teammates HUD?

It would make a lot of sense and make the animation worth it instead of just getting the beat down.

Thoughts?

Truthfully I like the animation not having a real effect on game play. I would like to have an option to disable my assassinations so I didn’t accidentally initiate one.

You want to disable it because it’s not worth it. Why not give it a tiny bonus as a reward for staying alive for the duration of the animation?

I would rather it not have a tangible impact on game play. Just personal preference.

Honestly sounds a bit unfair. That’s like saying if I t-bag you, you can’t use grenades on your next spawn. Assassinations are just a way to show off like T-bagging. It shouldn’t have a big effect on gameplay.

Assassinations were worth it before the animation. Now every time I assassinate someone and accidentally trigger the animation, I die right afterwards. Introduce an option to turn it off or remove it entirely.

It is just a way to show off but it’s nothing like your example. All it’s doing is hiding your X for that death.

Ok, my example is an over exagerated example, but the beauty of the assassination was that it was just a way to show off. It didn’t need to be anything more.

I agree that it’s a great way to show off! But having no X for a single death isn’t really diminishing the cool factor of it.

I say no, it is just if you’re really into assassinating the person, it doesn’t have to be anything else

go to 6:48

It’s really fun to assassinate people as it is. I’m not saying that it’s broken or anything like that.

It would be really neat though if there was no red X on their death. You killed him quietly from behind, why should anyone else be able to know unless they saw you do it?

I kind of think, just in campaign mind you, they should disable or weaken the back smack melee bonus damage. So that the only way to assassinate an elite to kill them instantly is with an execution. Other wise it would take 2 smacks. I also think the animations should be shorter and they shouldn’t be happening accidentally.

In Campaign, I hope we’ll have an option to take an enemy hostage or at least, when we’re doing an assassination on an enemy, they will momentarily cease fire.

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s trigger happy, laser accurate enemies with no brains or emotions.

I like the Idea Actually :P.

Why is everyone complaining about assassinations getting accidentally used when you’ll have to hold the damn melee button to initiate it, I don’t get this complaints at all.
