Hey guys i need some help big time fighting that stuipd grunt jockey so yea can you tell me some tips? Thk ps at firefight
Here’s some tips:
- Put your crosshairs over the jockey
- Pull the trigger
- Repeat until dead.
- Tap Xbox button - Press the start (or whatever it is now) button - Scroll down to quit - Try finding a new game after loading Halo 5 again
It’s best to have a good amount of vehicles ready. I would say at least 3 or 4, and the rest of your team have some good power weapons. That way when your teammates in vehicles go down, which they will, you will hopefully still have some teammates on the ground to keep fighting while others are spawning in with more vehicles.
If you are on foot or in a vehicle try to make sure you are near some cover. When he kind of hunkers down he is getting ready to launch a needle attack. You need serious, good cover to avoid them.

The bigger the vehicle the better!
I prefer a wraith or a tank when it comes to him, the wraith is nice as you can maneuver easier and get out of his line of sight, that and you get splash damage. Another vehicle is the ghost ultra, they are quick and powerful so shooting next to a spot that has quick cover works so long as you move before the needles get there.
As far as weapons go I would stick with the rockets, fuel rod and plasma caster.
Don’t go for it, just don’t. Wait for the enemy team to bring his health down then try to steal the kill. Don’t waste time on Grunt Jockey while you could be killing Spartans and capping armory for the triple cap
Another way is 343 to nerf it or delete it.

A long long time ago(a week ago) someone asked on these forums tips to killing warden eternal so this sill grunt jokey thing has the same weakness as warden eternal a lot I mean a lot of bullets so in conclusion shoot it a lot

You got to understand the meaning behind this unconstructive post, and it’s there. Kill jockey, while being a great addition, is not balance properly, has no weak point, is OP as -Yoink- and is just a worst bullet sponge compared to Warden. I think that’s what RUL MonkeyxMoo was trying to say…

Legitimate answer this time eventually the grunt jockey has those flames coming out of the front of the mech suit this and that counts as its weak spot and in my opinion is easier to hit since you have to bounce around the warden to hit it’s back

Because the Grunt Jockey is an annoying overpowered boss. It should not be able to take out a tank with one volley of the giant needles. It always jumps towards the enemy side (in normal WZ) and it’s so annoying for most people, that they just ignore it when it spawns (though it’s hilarious when it decides to attack farmers on ARC.) They may have lowered the amount of knights on Apex 7, but that’s one map and that won’t stop the boss from being more annoying that Warden.

Okay, my apologies. I read it as you were saying to find another game instead of Halo. I get what you’re saying now. I admit I took this a little personal since pretty much all I play is Halo 5.

just watch your team kill him…when the grunt is low health just shoot him with a BR or AR and ta-da you killed him
As said earlier, tank or wraith Ultra. With the Wraith Ultra you can sit behind cover and lob shots from a long distance, and the splash damage helps to eliminate minor ai around him. With the tank you have to sit in line of sight, but you can shoot from a further distance and you will hit him more consistently.
For me I alway use a tank or plasma caster
