How to keep players playing Halo 5!

I’ve been thinking about how 343 could keep more player online and I came to the conclusion that making the game feel like it has a community would be the best way. Here’s some ideas that I came up with

  1. 343 should have forge contests and feature cool maps and game types. The winner of these contests will get a unique set of armor and their map/game type will be up on matchmaking. These contests can be every two weeks or once a month.

  2. 343 should also have more holiday events. For example on the weeks surrounding Christmas 343 can make team slayer be red vs green instead of red vs blue. On Halloween we can have a play list featuring the scariest flood game types. On valentines day we can have the hearts fly out of you hen you die like reach.

  3. Rotating playlists don’t work well but having some playlists come back once a week would be cool! Like griffball weekends!

  4. File share should come with the game and please fix the top rated game types. They don’t change ever…

  5. Give us more options with making our custom game types! I want to be able to make a game type with elites and Spartans fighting each other and also have a flood infection start halfway through the game!!! I want basic custom game options then SUPER ADVANCED custom games options where I can manually change the damage output for each individual weapon.

  6. Campaign needs a point system again

  7. Add a spectator mode that piggy backs off of the theatre mode (I got this from Recedinghairlineman on YouTube)

  8. More file share options. I want to be able to have a game type come with a map. I also want to have my own file share page that I can customize as much as a MySpace page.

I doubt 343 will bring back Blue Flames and other Armor Effects. However, I have a feeling Grunt Birthday Party AE will be back, but i’m not so sure since their were responses regarding it being “annoying” during Fiesta in Team Action Sack.

Good ideas.

I’d say it would be good if you could win only one set of armor for winning a competition but you get different skins based on the competition you win.

I’d call it the Champion armor and it would have multiple skins.

If you won a forge contest you’d get the FORG Champion skin. It’d paint a monitor or an anvil on your armor.

If you won a Grif ball contest you’d get the GRIF Champion skin. It’d paint a crossed hammer and sword on your armor with a grif ball skull above the crossed weapons.

And so on.

343 could have their own champion skin that has 343 all over it and with what ever other Easter eggs that’d like to add. The 343I Champion skin.

And for those who want the Champion armor but can’t win a contest you can buy the basic armor set in the XBL store. But they will find that the basic pattern for the Champion armor will spell out noob all over the armor. All they’ll have to do is make their secondary color the same as their primary but I gotta say it will be hilarious!
