When it comes to video games i have a strict policy. When it becomes painful to put in a disc and play it, when i’m not excited to come home and play it as soon as i get off work, and when i try and force myself to have fun. When these things happen, i know its time for me to get rid of the game.
I’m sort of breaking my policy right now, because this is Halo. My favorite game series of all time. But i just can’t seem to take this game back, even though it’s been stale for the past month now.
How do you guys do it? How do you guys keep on playing this game without boredom? I dont want to have to trade this game in…
Videogames don’t have to be OMG-love-this-game-play-24/7! or trash. That’s a pretty extreme stance. Don’t you have a game library?

No, I’m just pointing out that you have taken a pretty extreme stance, and it doesn’t need to be that way.
For me, it has been the Campaign that has brought me back over and over.
Play any shooter for a time, then play Halo 4.
With all its flaws, Halo 4 is still the best shooter out there IMO.

Halo failed for me on many levels. I traded it in long ago and hope that the next installment pulls it head out of its -Yoink-. I played a ton of H3 BTB, about 5k games of it. H4 to me is just horrid. Just looking at the amount of players on the playlists only makes it seem that many share my opinion. Less than 20,000 the other nite. Sad how the mighty have fallen.

I’d recommend Battlefield 3 or Left for dead 2… You’ll be engaged for HOURS on those games… TF2 being free on Pc and BF3 going out for pretty cheap right now… just helping a guy out.

He’s not being extreme at all. He’s not saying ‘OMG LE BEST GAME EVAR,’ like you’re suggesting. He doesn’t like to force himself to try and have fun on a game he doesn’t have fun on.
Hmmm you could try forge. Maybe try to remake levels from other games, I like doing that.
