How to increase sniper rifle zoom?

I’ve been playing Halo 5 on the default control layout and I can’t find a way to increase the magnification on the sniper rifle beyond the default. Should I change my layout or is there some other way? Any help would be appreciated.

While zoomed click the left stick. Took me a bit to figure it out too.
