How to improve warzone.

Ok now don’t get mad, I only want to list the reasons I think warzone sucks and it could have been better or maybe even improved. Now I will list the reason in a number format.
1.maps-I feel as all the maps feel to open, all the open space limits how much space is actually being played at which results in areas that are never really touched.
2.repetive gameplay-more specifically the boss system, now idk about you guys but I’m really getting tired of fighting the bosses over and over again and capturing the same bases.
3.action spread to thin-In warzone specifically in the beginning you really don’t get much action, half the time your looking for somebody until it escalates in the end, which results in boring gameplay.
Now I will explain how I think these things could be fixed.
1.maps-the way they could have fixed this was make the maps more tight with more cover and buildings where action can take place like district from H2.
2.repetitive gameplay-they could have fixed this by randomizing the boss system for each game so than your encountering a new enemy all the time. They could also implement I kind of system where they give you random objectives during the course of the game for extra points. This system could also be used for the bases so there used for something else other than a spawn location.
3.action spread too thin- I think the simplest solution to this would be adding more ai. They could even attack your bases and come in dropships.
This is how I think warzone could be improved and made better. Another idea that came to mind was upgrading bases, this would be really cool and also speed the req system up to counter these new defences, share your thoughts bellow!!

Well then, I guess nobody feels the same way? Lol

yes no one feels the same, because what you don’t enjoy about it, people enjoy it, for example, the only thing i hate about warzone… is how close the bases are to one another… i understand this is not battlefield… but i should not be about to KILL you just buy shooting from my base into yours. that is the only design flaw i see

I pretty sure plenty of people feel the same, I’m sure if they implemented these ideas warzone would be a thousand times better. By the way I got these ideas from reading the forums and put it in my words, so no I’m not alone in this.

Also did you read the post at all??

I agree with you on some points ( A New Mombasa themed map in a crumbling city would be amazing, and bosses or even just elite squads dropping in would be awesome) but the title “I think warzone is a failure” is a short round way to get 343i to ignore it, along with most of the community. These forums are supposed to be a way to channel constructive criticism, not blind rage. I love Halo and I want it to be the best it can be, and if we band together as a community we can make it the best it can be, if you have suggestions, keep posting them in a constructive way and maybe we can get through to bravo, and maybe they’ll end up in an update or in halo 6, or halo 5 ODST (Im prayin’).

Yea, maybe I should have named it something like how to improve warzone or something like that. I didn’t really think about it tbh.

There we GI, fixed it. Hopefully more people would reply, I would really like to know there thoughts on the matter.

This is why I enjoy warzone so much, especially when I play that claustrophobic thing called arena before.

of course i read your whole page, and it translates to “what I want out of warzone” not “what is wrong with warzone” 1 the maps are supposed to be open, you know for vehicles to move around, 2 repetitive? it’s a first person shooter, the whole game is repetitive not just warzone, the bosses are the same, because it makes it easier for people who actually want to use strategy, can make a solid game plan (the mode is based around moba’s whch tend to have ONE map. with the same bosses scattered around the map.) 3 spread too thin? that is called having a build up, the match starts slow so you can get your positioning and and strat right. then around the halfway mark everything goes to hell, so by the end. and the main boss comes out. it becomes a choatic scramble for the last kill.

> This I certainly agree with, and I don’t think it would be that difficult to change objectives a little bit each game.

1.) I don’t find the “repetitive game” complaints to be valid. Reason being. Its game. By its very design it will be repetitive.
2.) action spread to thin. I don’t agree with that as well. most games there is plenty of action to be found.

with both of those said, Warzone needs tow things - 1. improvements on the maps(I’ll explain) 2. limit teams/parties to 4 at max.

  1. Improvements on maps- Take Storm Break for example. Commander Lochagos is in the worst possible spot and is out at the worst time. Its no more discouraging than to lose the Fortress and the boss kill at the beginning on the game. Lochagos should be where Eternal spawns and spawn half way thru the game as opposed to the beginning. Then there is ARC. The mini bosses- Sanghelie generals at the beginning should not be there until after the armories are taken. By changing that one thing it would change the flow of the game forcing the whole team to go take the armory giving a slightly better chance against organised teams. there there is APEX 7. The rock formations give Red team a distinct advantage taking the spire. And blue base has the advantage later in sniping. do they cancel out each other? Maybe, maybe not. Then there is Noctus. Way too open and like ARC and StormBreak is very susceptible to organised teams taking full advantage.Which leads to my next item.

2.) WE now see complaints here daily of organised teams utterly destroying teams of randoms either by record setting end games or worse yet kill farming. This is the #1 thing that needs to be addressed. This alone will run off players more so than anything else. 12 players teams playing randoms is equal to a 12 yr old fighting a 5 yr old. It is in no way an evenly matched fight.

Fixing just those items would go a long way to making WArzone better.

Well yes these are the things I would want in warzone, obviously there not facts there opinions its all subjective I thinks these things should be added to make the game better.
