How to improve Halo 4/Halo 5 ideas.

I know. I’ve seen all these threads stating “Halo 4 disappointment” and the same s*** happened with Reach. But instead of hating on a game and then abandoning it. it’s about time we collect up some USEFUL ideas to improve the Halo experience without taking something away.

What we can do to improve Halo 4:

*If it is possible, fix the lighting so the players do not look like they glow even if they are in the shade.
*Wargames should introduce double exp playlists, classic slayer with no loudouts or sprint, and Highest skill level aside everyone’s SR.
*Fix the weapon lowering mechanics and possibly introduce a machinima slayer variant that allows online players to lower their weapons. Maybe introduce playable elite models.
*Theatre needs to disable kill feeds and the announcer in free camera mode.
*Infection needs more customisation. eg. Changeable player colours, flood weapons, loudout traits, flood appearance etc. Maybe even make a player turn into an elite.
*Bring back gametypes such as “insane”, “race”, “One Flag”, “Assault”, “Invasion” and “Classic Flag”
*Slayer option to only count scoring by actual kills.
*Introduce Mark VI GEN 2 armour (Halo 4 Master Chief Armour) into multiplayer. I have no idea why they didn’t do it in the first place.
*Reduce DMR hitscan/auto-aim by 20% and up BR, no-scoped light rifle, covenant carbine, and storm rifle damage by 5%.

Toxic Pwny: Specialisation should be re-balanced.

Ideas for Halo 5:

*Aim for the in-game graphics to look like the Spartan Ops CGI Episodes. That also means fixing the lighting issues Halo 4 had.
*Return Elites into the Halo 5 Infinity canon. Possible add two new factions to play as. Forerunners/Promethean and Precursors/Flood?
*Faction specific loadouts. Everyone will start off with the assault rifle and magnum and their equivalents of each faction. You can unlock up to 6 “universal” loudouts that can use any weapons you purchase with SPs. But then there is a menu for each faction (eg. “UNSC Specification Loudouts”). You will be given up to 4 loudout slots within that menu that can only use weapons and grenades that are manufactured by that faction. These loudouts would be used in faction gametypes such as invasion and firefight.
*Bring Back the Mark V, ODST and Hayabusa!
*Forge with bigger areas to forge on with a variety of themes. As well as Object colour, have object theme (UNSC Space, UNSC weathered, Covernant, Forerunner, Relic, Natural etc.) Include channelled buttons that function doors and stuff, cameras that can show up on monitors, and Signs that display text.
*Bring back the Hornet. Add the Mammoth, Pelican, Phantom, Falcon, Spirit, Spectre, and Scarab into the Multiplayer Sandbox.
*Theatre than plays in campaign, adjustable depth of field and focus, and the fixes I mentioned for Halo 4.
*Firefight with in-game credits to spend. Only official (and non-“Arcade”) gametypes will give you proper EXP and Achievements.
*Dual wielding returned. Small arms weaponry is still powerful but wielding two weapons, scopes are disabled and bloom/recoil is increased. Possible a tactical package that lets you spawn with and hold two of the same small arms weapon when switching to your primary or enter a vehicle.
*War-mode Idea - Think of Planetside 2 and Halo’s baby. 343 would need dedicated super servers to run this but it will work. Basically, our playable factions (UNSC, Covenant, Forerunner, Precursor/Flood) fight for large territories across different continents on a forerunner mega-structure (independent battle away from the main story). Everyone will be using “Faction Specific Loudouts”. Players can use ingame credits to deploy vehicles, weapons, and even command-able troops. The Generated area around you have a troop, ordinance, transport limit that will be equal for each faction. To get a better idea on what I’m talking about, play Planetside 2.

So. Do you think Halo needs this if it wants to stay in the competition against other modern shooters (not just cod)? or should it de-evolve back to the arcade experience and nothing more?

I think Halo 5 should have more sandboxey levels and more places in the campaign where you can drive warthogs. Also Halo4’s camapign felt kinda all over the place.

I really think they should fix the specialization cap pretty soon because it really disappoints players who got the game for Christmas :frowning:

Just give me duel wielding and my SMG’s and I shall be happy.
