How to improve FPS

I saw too many people w/ FPS issues, so thats why I’m creating this topic.

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
GPU: RTX 2060 SUPER OC
RAM: 16GB 3500mghz

Ingame Settings:

  • V-Sync: Off
  • min. FPS: 75
  • max. FPS: 200
  • Fullscreen Borderless
All graphical settings are set to ultra or high.

FULL-HD:
min: 110
max: 150

4k:
min. 75FPS
max: 100FPS

  1. Set the process priority to “Realtime” (affecting only bot games for now)
  2. Deactivate Xbox Game Bar (improved my FPS in many games like Star Citizen)
  3. Deactivate “Fullscreen Optimization” for HaloInfinite.exe
  4. Turn Windows visual effects off
  5. Change your virtual memory (If you’ve more than 32GB I wouldn’t really suggest doing that)

If you’ve more questions - feel free to ask!

I have an RTX 3060, 16gb 3000mhz RAM and a Ryzen 5 2600 overclocked. Here’s what I have found so far, submitted this to the support team as well.

I was messing with the graphics settings and noticed something that I was able to replicate consistently. While checking FPS differences between presets, I noticed that nearly all hitching/stuttering would cease if I increased geometry quality and terrain quality. With those two settings on low (regardless of any other settings), my FPS would jump from 50-130 just all over the place, super jittery and not fun to play at all. As soon as I turned those two settings to high or ultra, all stuttering stopped and I actually held a steady 130-140+ at all times.

Hopefully more people can report in with their experiences and fixes.

Could you explain what this actually does? I disabled Xbox Game Bar and it helped a decent bit.
Thank you in advance <3

for the other non-in-game settings where do i go for each of these settings?
