It makes me happy to see Spartan Companies as an idea. Clans, if you would. A small community of like-minded gamers who love to play Halo. I’d like to see more meat added to this burger. More features, more benefits, more events. Custom emblems? Maybe special banners and skins for Spartan Companies who complete certain challenges during a season or get a certain number of commendations? Custom Spartan Company coatings?
Lots of ideas available for this stuff that I think would be really cool and bring folks together for Infinite. It would incentivize people to reach out and find new buddies and broskis.

That’s entirely possible, they did get rid of Snapshot and replaced it with no-scope, which I like. Clans are clans, call it a clan. Spartan Clan even. I would love for it to be expanded upon

Technically speaking, they would be called a Spartan Company. It is a company of spartans, same terminology I’m pretty sure real life military uses. Companies, battalions, teams, squads, etc.

That would make sense if they were in the Marines or Army however Chief is in the Navy lol. I served in the Navy so it is personally cringe for me.

Not anymore, I don’t think. I’m pretty sure once the Spartan IV’s came into existence, the Spartans were their own branch in the military. Commander Palmer being their leader, and Jun the recruiter… So Chief was indeed part of the Navy, but after Halo 4 he was officially part of the SPARTAN branch.

Commander Palmer being their leader, and Jun the recruiter… So Chief was indeed part of the Navy, but after Halo 4 he was officially part of the SPARTAN branch.
He still have a Navy rank so untill he no longer is a Master Chief it will haunt me lol. I forgot about that they made their own branch.

There are a lot of different creative directions they could go with what to call them besides real life terms, like Bands, Circles, or Crews. But I think Spartan Teams would fit best. Lore wise, Spartan Teams are normally 4-5 members, around the same number of players on each side in multiplayer games. There could be more than that on the roster obviously, but when playing against a “clan” you’d only be playing against a few of them. Especially for the e-sports side, introducing “Spartan Teams” you would only see the players who were actively playing.
