IS there a way to identify a 343 employee in game? I have a friend who abused a wall hack on the map complex where you can like morph into the building. This is obviously a glitch that needs fixed. After the game one of the players got mad and sent him a message claiming that he was an employee from 343 and he was going to ban him. It is so obvious to me that he does not work at 343 but I wanted a way to call him out on his lies.
Also is there a place I can report him from impersonation?

it does seem abit weird, if a useful glitch is there ofcourse people are gonna use it til it gets patched. but tbf ive always found it amusing when people have claimed they were from companies.
the problem is bungie employees were easy to spot most of the time, maybe 343 dont want this, especially if they enjoy playing on xbox like & dont want to be bothered so i wouldnt expect them to confirm or deny if that gt works at 343. plus i dont think theyd even know everyones GT’s
If i got banned every time an ‘employee’ of Bungie, Microsoft, DICE, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, EA, Activision etc. told me they were gonna ban me, id never be playing a video game again.
Besides, just because you work for a video game company does NOT mean you have the ability to ban people. They have a select team for that stuff.

Any Terms of Use violation can be reported on your xbox via the “File a Complaint” option on the offender’s gamertag. At least back in the days of Stepto you could be sure that any complaint you filed would be reviewed with a couple of days (I haven’t kept up with the enforcement team’s updates since, but I imagine it’s running just about as tight a ship.)
Except that I seriously doubt any action would be taken in this case. This kid “impersonated” a microsoft employee to try to scare your friend straight. He didn’t impersonate an employee in order to scam him out of personal information. (ex. I’m a microsoft employee, give me your password.)
The former is simply what you get when you give idiots annonymity and in-game voice chat (and so shouldn’t be taken seriously) and the latter is what enforcement is there for because under no circumstance should it be tolerated. Use that rule next time you feel someone’s been naughty on live (though in any case don’t do it on the forums. I’m sure that’s a COC violation in it’s own right.)
