People say halo is in a downward spiral and it’s dead, in a way it is the community has turned toxic but i see it purifying itself very slowly people are starting to praise(people used to hate halo everywhere but now whenever halo comes up their is positive views), and the game is becoming worthy and worth $60. Now people want the numbers of 3 heck if we could’ve kept the players from 4 around it would’ve been great, but constantly saying halo sucks isnt going to help AT ALL, criticism is accepted to help, but praise when it is needed. If you want the millions of players to return or bring new people to halo talk about how great it is so whenever someone sees halo and looks into it instead of them seeing people complaining(it drives them away) show a great community full of positiveity. If you truly want to help halo go to other outlets you tube ign etc and blatantly praise it to bring people in. attitude helps a lot and the better attitude it is the more people will come. thank you for your time lets make halo return to its thrown.
There’s a problem with your entire statement. Halo is falling apart, 343i has been slaughtering the lore, cutting it to pieces. Yes, they own such lore now, because Bungie sold them all rights and it’s their will to do so. But everything they’ve done is making people ‘fly’ away from the game. It’s becoming all too much like CoD, the TTK has been drastically reduced and normally if you enter a firefight with a large REQ weapon, you’re usually pwn’d by a scrub with an Assault Rifle. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy Halo 5, or the Franchise, because really, I do. I love Halo, but what 343i is doing isn’t the way to go. Halo has never been an Major League Gaming Pro game, Halo used to have such a focus on it’s Campaign… but not anymore, say hello to Halo 6: Spartan Warfare. Halo never had the armor’s you unlock by farming people in a warzone, it never had a repetitive boss fight in it’s campaigns… Cough WARDEN! Cough Every. Single. Time. You’d fight this guy, he’d either split into more copies, or have turrets and Promethean troops to aide him. Why can’t we do something different for a change? WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE WARDEN?!
If Halo is to ever reclaim it’s lost throne, it would have to not be so much like CoD… that’s what’s driven away die-hard Halo fans mainly in the first place.
There is a lot less salt on the forums now in comparison to before, but salt posts don’t really want to help halo they are complaining for the sake of complaining hence why a lot get locked or shot down now. This forum is meant to have construction threads on halo 5

I honestly have yet to see one that isn’t invaded by people explicitly hating on the game.

Well given the whole infinite warfare review so hard it won’t be so hard for halo to “rise again”, though personally I don’t think halo has fallen

Except we can’t have constructive criticisms because the constructive criticisms, outside of playable elites and splitscreen, never stay popular for long. Rant threads stay alive and noticed longer because people debate in those threads.
And, without a definition on what entails “constructive”, we have to feel around for it. If it means being passionate while giving plenty of examples and some solutions, then so be it. You guys keep asking for constructive criticism, but every time constructive criticism is given, it either never gets noticed, or people write it off as “hate” posts.

I think its easier to define a hate thread, simply put if it just bags or just foul language on 343 that is criticism/hate yes and could be constructive however if they were to also add a wwyd or just a simple suggestion on how it should have been done because that shows how it can be taken in a constructive way.

Except, again, as I said, everybody has their own definition of a “hate” thread. I don’t actually believe that there are such things as “hate” threads, I believe that they are extremely passionate… maybe a little harsh, but not hateful. They want to see Halo flourish just as much as the fanboys, but when people write off their threads as “hate” threads, then it just belittles their criticisms.
And then there is the issue of, if the Waypoint mods make a definition on how to give constructive criticism, who’s definition on what is “constructive” gets used? If the definition becomes (from what I’ve seen of the Waypoint community) what a lot of the community wants, essentially, “Only praise the game and the developers”, then where is the criticism?
The best way for Halo to benefit is to get developers that really know the look, feel, and sound of Halo. Halo should be evolving, but its only stepping back. Halo 5 had less game types and maps at launch than any other Halo game. I do think Microsoft is to blame for this launch and the controversial “FREE” DLC. Having a lot of knowledge about the gaming industry, I know Microsoft Studios did play a part in REQ packs and the free updates. It’s kinda what publishers do, make your favorite games less enjoyable
I agree. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism, but saying 343 destroyed the Halo franchise scares off those who are curious about the game.
