Hey guys, I put together this first halo wars video with the intention of starting a series. Halo wars tips and tricks so to speak, the main aim of this video was to show players my personal method of obtaining ODST by 10 minutes.
If this video proves popular then I will create a follow up on the same subject about how to get ODST even after being rushed.
I will be covering all the leaders and different strategies and tips on how each leader uses their leader and what advantages and disadvantages they have and how they can counter another leader effectively.

There is a huge gap between ‘high level’ players who know how to play and people who sit on 1 base and tech their super units. You should either teach people how to rush/defend rushes, how to run specific strats, mid/high level gameplay (youtube.com/ikihz or /xlimitz6 or a ton of others) or decide you want to make videos to entertain like (youtube.com/bas1sta or /felguam).

There isn’t much of a player base/audience on Halo Wars anymore let alone on Halo Waypoint. I only ever see a maximum of around 5,000 players anymore. To put it bluntly, there isn’t much point now dude. It’s a little late to start making Halo Wars videos. The best Halo Wars Youtubers are already out there and to be honest they probably either don’t make or no longer get views on; Halo Wars videos, anymore.
I did this last night. In fact, I think I upgraded my Marines to ODSTs in less than 10 minutes, but only by a few seconds. I always attack with 15+ ODST squads, 5 Scorpions, 3 Spartans, all in a Scorpion, and a couple Hogs, and occasionally a few Hornets. I was playing with my friends last night and that army paired with my friend’s army of Vultures completely eradicated the two other friends on the opposite team. XD
Typicaly a match of halo wars even random 3v3’s will be won or lost in the first 5 minuets even if your opponent isn’t dead by 5 mins you can basically guarantee your win, sitting in your starting base and teching up your super units or “Uber” units will not win you the match.
UNSC meta basically = Hogs / Scorps
Covy meta basically = Banshee’s
As UNSC your going to want to build hogs at the start and get gunner, even if you don’t go gauss gunner hogs will help you expand fast and harras enemy expansion at the same time.
If, and only if the match drags on consider teching your super units (Unless your forge, Grizzlys suck) Also ODST’s should never ever be your main unit they only ever fill a support role or are used for hooks.
Phantom, I tried this out last night and I have to say to all of you that it is definitely possible to make ODST after ten minutes. Thank you so much for showing me this…
… the only problem was that my opponent attacked me with 8 Cannister Shell tanks and obliterated my base. I managed to drop five ODST before he took out my reactors and they slowed him down for a short while. Do you think that we can maybe incorporate the ODST with maybe a Vulture or Elephant rush?
