At level 144 I have just about every single certification unlocked and was wondering how to get more wasps? When I open gold packs I am normally getting banshees and mantises and occasionally I have gotten a single wasp (like twice).
Which has a higher chance of giving them to you, gold packs or silver packs?
No clue but I want to know this as well. I’ve gotten one, used it to great effect in FF and I want more!
Silver packs since they’re in the rare category.
Silver packs maybe the way to go since you can get more of them.

I would stick with gold packs. Wasps are rare, so they’re on the rarer end of the req pool in silver packs. They should be on the more common end of gold packs, and the other stuff you get should be more useful too. Plus the boosts are better and the stuff you sell is worth more, so you can get more rp points as a result of buying them.

The extra stuff thing is a good point, but I think that since one gold equals two silvers, silver might be the way to go if that’s all you care about getting.

Some of the legendary and ultra rare rp boosts can give you 5,000 req points. I have gotten enough points from two warzone games to get another gold pack using the stuff from the previous pack. It’s important not to forget about that.
He’s also getting the gold packs at a discount since he’s finished with permanent reqs. They only really cost him 6,000 points.

Man sometimes I wish there was an option to just buy certain vehicles individually instead of randomly in packs, but that system wouldn’t really work in this kind of game.

That’s because of the rarity of the wasp relative to the other things available in those packs. Silvers give out common to rare, so the reqs you’ll get the least of are rare ones. In golds you get uncommon to legendary, so getting rare reqs is fairly common. I think you’re way more likely to get wasps in gold packs, honestly.
Silver packs.
Gold packs will give you uncommon through legendary, which is 4 tiers, whereas silver packs will give you common through rare, which is only 3 tiers. Silvers also cost less so you can get twice as many of them.
I read a lot of replies in another thread saying you get them more often from Silver since they’re a low req level (3) and a low rarity (rare).
Gold tends to give you higher req level and rarity gear.
I seem to be on the short end of the stick on getting Wasp REQs. It seems like I only get 1 or 2 out of every 30 REQ packs (Silver and Gold, though mostly Gold) I open. Hell, I seem to be getting Mystic (Starred) Weapons way more often than I do Wasps…where I seem to be getting a Mystic weapon REQ every 5-6 packs…sometimes even netting 3-4 Legendary REQs in one pack. For only being in the “Rare” tier of REQs…Wasps seem to be more rare than Ultra Rare/Legendary REQs.
Ive bought quite a few gold packs since wasps came out and i havn’t gotten any wasps out of them. everyone is saying silver will work better so why not.
I’ve gotten about 5 Wasps after saving around 30K of REQ points for specifically opening silver packs to try and get them. Old thread though. Wonder how many he has now?
In a random system there really is no way to say. The best odds would be silver’s since you can get two packs for the points of one gold.
I get more in Golds. Wasps might as well be ultra rare because I spent about 40k REQ points on silvers and got 2 wasps, compared to about 10 I’ve gotten from about 15-20 golds.
The problem isn’t getting them, its keeping them

Does the game track inventory? I also would like to keep track of how many packs I buy!
