Beat the game on Legendary with a friend and didn’t get the “gold” (it’s orange people, turn down your brightness) visor. Do I have to beat it solo Legendary our do I have to beat it in under a certain amount of time?
In Halo 4 the “gold” visor is known as the legendary visor. You should’ve earned all the Mk VI armor by beating the campaign on legendary, but I would do it on solo legendary to ensure you get it. You might as well get the achievement for completing the game solo on legendary. The campaign solo on legendary isn’t too bad.

I played it solo legendary and I got the visor. My friend did it with me co op and he didn’t. It might be a glitch or something

The legendary armour is tied to the commendations you earn for completing campaign missions on Legendary difficulty. These commendations are known to glitch if the your console disconnects (or the game thinks its disconnected) from Xbox Live. If this happens it voids the commendations, even though you have the achievements for completing the missions. According to your service record you still need to complete the mission Forerunner in order to earn the commendation and unlock the Mark VI armour and Legendary visor. The only way to fix this is to replay the mission on Legendary.

Its not really gold, its orange red, its Master Chiefs visor, and you have to do solo Legendary, i did mine in one sitting, it was fairly easy : )

Not true. As I said in my post above, the Mark VI armour set is linked the commendations earned for completing the missions on Legendary. This can be done solo or co-op, as long as you have earned the commendation for every mission. But for commendations to unlock, the missions must be completed from start to finish whilst connected to Xbox Live. If a player disconnects at any time during the mission, the commendation is voided.
You don’t have to beat it solo. I figured it my problem. It said I didn’t beat one mission on Legendary all I couldn’t get it. I then beat it, solo (even though I did rest of campaign on co-op) and I got everything.

Same thing happened to me. Pissed me off quite a bit, but I clenched my teeth and played the mission again.
There is no gold visor there is a legendary visor which can only be rewarded when campaign is completed on legenday

I meant to say I did mine Solo, sorry for that confusion, it can be gotten on co-op or solo.
