How To Fix The Playlists, 343i

The playlists are the main problem with Halo 4, and also the main reason why the population is so low for a Halo game (in my opinion) and I really think this is the best possible way to make everyone happy with them and come back to Halo 4…

Basically all 343 have to do is kind of copy what Bungie did with Halo 3, and separate them. Instead of having Ranked and Social, there should be Classic and Modern or something.

You click on Classic and it comes up with all the main Halo playlists like BTB, Rumble Pit, Multi-Team, Skirmish, Doubles, ect. But they will all be played out like classic Halo; no loadouts, perks, AA, Specialisations, sprint. Weapons on maps, no instant respawn, ect. Just basically how Halo was played BEFORE Reach and mainly Halo 4.

If you click on Modern (or whatever it could be called) it still comes up with all the main Halo playlists, but this time it will be played out in the Halo 4 style play with AA, loadouts, Ordinance…basically how the game is right now.

They could also add another section for SWAT, Snipers, Flood, some kinda of MLG style playlist with Pro settings, Griftball, and a playlist with all community Forged maps, with new maps added every 2 weeks or so… Oh and maybe another section for some 1-50 ranked playlists, with the skill shown IN GAME. (or would that be too many playlists overall?)

Anyway, this is my idea on how to make the playlists a million times better in Halo 4 and I think it is pretty much perfect for everyone, although I’ve probably missed some things out. If they do this along with some weapon balancing, I feel Halo 4 will be so much better and much more addictive. So keep this post alive, if you like this idea!

Let me know what you think on this idea, or any of your own ideas of how the playlists should be like.

I like where you’re going with this idea, but it almost seems like to many that it may thin out the players a little too much and make finding games harder than it already is.

Yes, this is what I was thinking too. But I feel if they do it, it could make the population so much higher, so it may possibly work. Thanks for the response.

I think we’ll have to accept Halo 4 as it is so we won’t be able to ask for multiple playlists with the old Halo features. This is how I feel they should do the playlists.

Ranked/Competitive

  • Team Infinity Slayer
  • Team Objective
  • Doubles
  • Lone Wolves
  • Team Special (Snipers/SWAT)
  • Classic Pro (No loadouts, weapons on map, no ordnance)

Social

  • Team Infinity Slayer (5 vs 5)
  • Big Team (with Objective games)
  • Flood
  • Rocket Race
  • Multi Team
  • Team Objective
  • Grifball

I like it, good idea. That way there’s not too many playlists.
