Why don’t they just make the Focus Rifle more powerful, slower heat buildup, but really fast energy drain. What do you guys think?

found it, focus rifle, tod. It works insane as a close range too if you watch the weapon expand as it heats. try to pop their shields and let it cool. then finish.
It’s fine the way it is. This gun does not require a nerf or a buff. Really, this thing is beast already and if you complain about overheating too quickly, learn2aim and learn how to manage the excess heat from firing…
It can’t compete with the Sniper but it has it’s uses. Suppression and ownage at pretty any range if you can keep the gun from overheating and on target which isn’t very tough.
All in all, the gun doesn’t need a fix. The OP just needs to work on his skill with the weapon, that’s all really. Lack of skill doesn’t equal the gun needs to be fixed/buffed.
This weapon makes me soooo angry. It’s a beam yet it’s impossible to see where it’s coming from.
