How to Fix Halo for Halo 6

Point 1
Halo needs to be more like a old fashioned action movie not worrying about the story and just using it to progress the gameplay.
Point 2
Need to be more interactive bosses similar to the scarab in halo 3 and how they interacted with the environments because in halo 5 the kraken didnt feel like it was a threat it was just another place to fight on where as halo 3’s scarabs world come out of nowhere and actually attack you.
Point 3
finally halo need to become more grounded again and make it feel like you are not invincible and can take on the entire covernant with just you trusty sidearm you need to feel like a solider working with the command to reach the goal.
thought love some feedback.

To address point 3, CE pistol anyone? Seriously I’ve gone through CE legendary Solo with just a CE pistol and whatever primary weapon I spawned with, CE pistol is best pistol.

Uh…gonna have to disagree with 3.
You’re a Spartan. Isn’t the whole point of being a supersoldier to go out and kick so much alien butt you get a sore foot?
If you ask me there should be more scenes where you see just how POWERFUL you really are…which can actually fit into some of the stuff you mentioned earlier, like the interactive boss fights. One-man assault on a Scarab anyone?
Actually now that I think about it I’m gonna have to disagree with 1 too, since, you know, the story is half the reason the game is so good…not relying on the story has never been a thing Halo does. Even in CE there was a deep story.

I disagree with every point.

  • Having a good story makes the game better in every way. It allows the people who only care about the campaign or the lore to become invested in the game. It allows people to care about the characters and therefore have more of a sake when they are playing. It could allow people who don’t normally like this style of game to enjoy Halo. A lot of people, myself included, pick up the halo games because they want to see the way the plot progressed. While I was severely disappointed in Halo 5, I personally was sold at the E3 trailer due story reasons.
  • I don’t think you’re remembering things correctly. The scarab battles weren’t big on interactive environments. There were a lot of destructible vehicles, which may be what is confusing you. I think a lot of mistakes were made with the kraken battle, notably you start at the top and not the bottom. That doesn’t really give you a proper sense of scale. The only time you see it before that battle is in the first mission where it gets driven off. Imagine if we changed things around. If for half the game you hear about how powerful the covenants new weapon is…and then you have a level where you have to run from it. Nothing you can do will touch it. (Think Halo 2 scarab.) Then finally you get to a spot where you can snag a banshee/phaeton and take the fight to it. Dodging sentry guns and turrets as you slowly wind your way up this massive, thing. That would have made the battle a lot better than having some exploding barrels.
  • No, I want to be a super soldier. I want to run through waves of covenant on easy and normal. Heroic is available if you want a mostly fair challenge. Legendary and Mythic are there if you want frustration.
