First off I think btb should have br starts but they could make btb much better by changing a few things. Right now btb is way too casual, there is no skill in it, it comes down to which side gets more br spawns and better vehicle spawns. Here’s what I think they need to do:
- Make weapon spawns consistent. Right now one side can get all br spawns and the other side can get all commando spawns. This makes for terrible game play.
- Shorten the timer on standard weapon respawns. It doesn’t have to be a huge amount, even 10 seconds shorter would help. The amount of people that are standing at weapon respawn is ridiculous and it takes them out of the action from helping their team while they wait. If the starting weapons were better this wouldn’t happen but again this is how to fix it without br starts.
- Vehicle spawns need to be consistent. One side can get a banshee and the other can get a wasp or no vehicle at all. They need to be the same vehicle for both sides. You can’t compare a banshee that feels like the worst nerfed banshee in history to a wasp that can lock onto air and ground vehicles, rockets can kill people with one hit and a gun that can kill people very quick.
- Weapon spawns need to be in the same spot each time on the map. We need to know that the br spawns under the base on fragmentation, or over in the rocks or where ever. But having all the weapons spawn randomly each time you get a map makes for a lot of wasted time in the game running around looking for a weapon. Of course this wouldn’t be as big a deal if our starting weapons were more appropriate for btb.
I hope they make some changes to btb. Right now it is so causal it is not very fun. With all the randomness it’s more like btb super fiesta then normal btb. One last thing, I don’t mind the pistol or commando, I get many kills with them but you can not compare them to the br and when one side gets all the br’s it makes it a very unbalanced game.

BTB is terrible , either you have power weapons or you don’t , please just give us a BR start.

I agree br starts are proffered, I just don’t think they will do it.
I’m on the side of no BR starts, but we just need more vehicles on spawn and have the vehicles dropped behind bases rather than closer to the middle. It’s a lot easier for one team to get both. BTB Heavies was always more fun than regular BTB.

Agreed about the randomness of weapon spawns. Put everyone on a level playing field. The same weapons should be obtainable on both sides of the map. The same vehicles should drop on both sides, and more heavy vehicles need to be dropped like the tank and the wraith.
ARs on such large maps are also frustrating to navigate with. Definitely need more BR spawns.

I won’t even play BTB because it’s not BR spawns why do people keep saying they won’t do it what is there reasoning for not doing it. BTB plays terribly without a BR

I do like the varied weapons on each map but it doesn’t work when the weapons spawns aren’t mirrored for each team. I think the different weapon spawns can help keep matches varied when there’s different weapon spawns. Maybe a good compromise is each team gets a BR & commando in their base, then the weapon pickups in the middle of the map can vary from match to match. Also the spawns should be consistent within the match so you don’t go for a Bulldog and get a Needler instead (just an example).
I was just basing my “they wont do br starts” off of how many people say in all the other br start threads that they like ar/pistol starts. I think most people that really like btb would prefer br starts.
Personally Id Rather have The Rocket Launcher lol
People that like AR starts can play quick play and run straight at their enemies with RT held down and always 1 for 1. What Halo players understand is that the best part of the combat is winning those tough precision weapon fights where your movement actually matters. Finishing with a clean headshot will always feel better than just spray and pray.

They have to do something. Deadlock in particular feels basically unplayable to me currently. You’ve got one BR and one commando spawn in the basement of the main base, one stalker/shock rifle spawn at the back of the main base, and a 2nd commando spawn over on the secondary “flag” base. That is nowhere near enough precision weapon spawns for an open map with 12 players per team. PC m&k players have an advantage aiming the sidekick pistol over longer ranges compared to console players who can’t customize sensitivity on the fly in order to properly aim the sidekick at longer ranges like m&k people can, and the aim assist on console doesn’t really work at long ranges with sidekick either. The end result is PC people dominating console people every single BTB match on Deadlock. It’s insufferable to spawn with 2 weapons that feel utterly worthless and to have so few spawn stations for weapons that can actually allow you to compete on a map like that with longer sightlines and little cover.

I agree, deadlock in particular is bad. That is map that I have encountered the most with all brs on one side and commandos on the other. Makes for a not very fun game if you’re on the commando side.
The way I see it. BtB just needs more weapons and vehicle spawns and have them more frequent. Out of all the BtB matches I have played I have only seen two tanks spawn and it was last couple min of the match.
Also I strongly dislike the 3 maps currently. They just feel like slightly bigger arena maps, not like any BtB maps we have had in prior games that also worked well for vehicles.
