How to fix armour ABILITIES in one simple way.

Make them a pick up. The only real flaw is that you spawn with them, unlike halo 3 were you compete for them.

I swear to god himself if this had been done we would have a very different and more successful reach.

to be honest, i hope they just bring it back to halo 3s style completely, no AAs, but Equipment instead, infact i hope the gameplay itself is more like Halo 3,

here is my full opinion on the AAs/Equipment situation

AAs ruined the strategy of halo imo,

instead of deciding where to go first in the map based on the equipment you want, now all ya do is go find people to kill or defend/attack the base,

in Halo 3 you could be strategic and be rewarded for things like getting the power weapons, controlling key parts in the map, getting the useful equipment before the enemy, defending your base, flanking the enemy base, and sniping enemy’s for afar to support your team,

the list goes on and on,

this is why i think 343 should stick to the Halo 3 style equipment

First of all, from a cannon point of view, the AA’s never make it past Reach, so more likely than not, AA’s won’t even make a comeback. Now, an evolution of Halo 3’s mechanics is more likely, based on the timeline, but since everyone thinks that the new MARK-VII suits and SPARTAN-IV’s will play a big part in Halo 4, it’s possible that 343 could use that as a creative license to go in a completely new direction. At the same time, it wouldn’t make sense cannon-wise for the scientists to retread on old, SPARTAN-III ground, and make the SPARTAN-IV abilities exactly like the SPARTAN-III’s.

Oh… your answer was different to mine, which was: remove them entirely.

This, or removing them completely is fine with me.

no because the AA’s recharge giving the user who picked them up a bigger advantage over there opponent because they are not one-use only.

My solution:
No AAs at all.

I have a better solouation, dont add them.

This…
or go to the MLG playlist because the MLG playlist has:

  • Zero bloom
  • No sprint
  • Armour abilities (Jet Pack & Evade) are pick-ups

Or Halo 4 can be original and not use an idea that is doomed to fail no matter what until it’s exactly like equipment again.

Exactly this. Don’t put AA’s into Halo 4! Make something new.

This with one small exception: It has to be balanced and it shouldn’t gimp the Spartans like AAs did in Reach.
In other words: don’t screw up the core!

The core being a Sandbox FPS. The new system should focus on pick-ups. No spawning with loadouts. If you want that, play Star Wars Battlefront, CoD, or Battlefield. Halo is not the place to ask for loadouts and classes. Unless there was a branch-off from the main installments, of course.
