How to earn credits in Halo Infinite; creating better economy for the multiplayer population & 343 Industries. What do you think?

In the Season 2 update, I was personally under the impression that credits would become earned in general, rather than in the Season 2 Battle Pass specifically

Given the latest update to Challenges, this is the conclusion that I have come to in order to earn credits; that will benefit both the Halo Infinite community & 343 Industries:

+10 Credits for each Challenge complete; excluding Ultimate Challenge (max 100 credits each week; 10 weeks = 1000 credits)

The reasons why I came to my conclusion of +10 credits per challenge:

  • 10 weeks = 1000 credits max, gives people incentive to play; increasing population

  • Leftover credits (e.g. 100, 200, 300 etc), creates incentive to buy credits & those items that are exclusive to the store that week, as they will be able to earn credits back

  • Observing Halo Infinite’s recent marketing - specifically children’s merchandise in retail - this would be catering to their younger audience, who are not able to pay for credits themselves

  • All unlocks and customisations would be obtainable, creating more purchases in the store + more incentive for purchasing low tier items in the store, as credits can be earned

  • If it was introduced, by the time this would be integrated into the game, we would have 4 - 5 Battle Passes (40 - 50 weeks of play to pay for all BP)

I would love to hear your insights and perspectives on this, as I feel this would contribute greatly to increasing and maintaining the online population for Halo Infinite; increasing sales too

Thank you for taking the time to read what I had to say, I am looking forward to reading your responses

Side notes:

  • 1000 credits can be earned in the Season 2 Battle Pass, which could create conflict, however still provides incentive to play the game; to complete the Battle Pass

  • More notes my be added depending on responses made*

Marketing notes:

Being able to earn credits alone will not solely increase the population to Halo Infinite’s initial peak, as that was created by marketing the release of Halo Infinite

I feel that it would take paying influencers like Ninja & other influencers that have stopped playing the game, to generate a viral word of mouth, to peak interest back into the game; recreating the same - if not close - hype as the Halo Infinite initial release

The reason why I say this, is that even with the release of Forge, we have only seen small rise in the regular population; still a rise in the population none the less

At this point there would be plenty of content from Forge, the Customs Browser & possibly matchmaking; making it more exciting for players to return

The accessibility is what has given this game an advantage, as being free to play & cross play, creates no hindrances to players returning back to the game

I would love to hear your opinions and feedback on this too, as I feel that this is also a very important aspect to regenerating the regular population

First things first the store needs an overhaul, because what’s use the credit have if you can’t buy things because they’re unavailable? Or they’re sold in bundles with 5-7 other items you don’t want.

And honestly I don’t think credits should be earnable at all, the game is F2P after all, so something for something. Plus there are challenges for those who don’t want to spend money but still want to unlock some new cosmetics.

I agree somewhat with your first point, as updating the shop is also important; creating more items and stock for players to purchase, as well as perhaps changing around the bundles

I can appreciate and see your point of “I don’t think credits should be earnable at all” however this is why I don’t agree in this case:

Looking at the population, it is a drastic change compared to release day. The specific reason why I say 10 credits per challenge - nothing more or less - is that is a considerable amount of time to attain 1000 credits

10 weeks play time encourages players to play the game, increasing population, as well as sales to buy more credits for limited items in the store

Also referring to my main points listed too*

I would just like to acknowledge and thank you for being constructive in your criticism, even if you don’t agree

I can see where you are coming from, including “Plus there are challenges for those who don’t want to spend money but still want to unlock some new cosmetics.” however I hope you can see where I am coming from too

Thanks again, and appreciate the discourse homie

As much as we all want this 343I proberbly get tummy aches thinking about giving away credits.

Firstly I would just like to say, I don’t appreciate the harshness in your response

I can appreciate, see and agree where you are coming from; providing that passion behind your response

The reason why I specified kids is that there is a lot of Halo merchandise that has recently been created - 1 or 2 years ago - where I see that the target market is to get kids involved and interested in Halo again

As kids would do, they would ask their parents for money when they need it or when they would ask their parent or guardian “can I spend your money on …” , because the reality is they can’t obtain that money themselves

Moving forward I would like to ask that you be more open in your language, as I feel like your dialogue is very one sided and very charged

I am more than happy to continue this dialogue with you, I would just appreciate if you brought it to a neutral place, where you can peacefully speak your truth, perspective and insight

Again, I see and appreciate where you are coming from

Thank you and hope you can see where I am coming from too

Eh why not, free money is free money. Even when it’s fake money.
I don’t see 343i doing this, at least without rising the cost of items in the shop.

I don’t think Kids not having money is a big of a problem as you mite think it is. Look at Gta and Fortnight they make tons of money from Mom and Dads credit card. I be playing Gta online and a kid in are party will want a over price car in their store and drop 100 bucks right there for it. it’s nuts.

As far as I can tell they didn’t violate any rules. You’re just picking a fight over someone disagreeing with you and you taking it the wrong way. KC for sure comes off as agro sometimes, but I didn’t get that from this one. Don’t just post the rules and exclaim violations because someone disagrees.

I do not agree, and this is not what I have done

I am not picking a fight or taking it the wrong way. If you read my initial response, then my following response:

Initial:

I can appreciate, see and agree where you are coming from; providing that passion behind your response

Moving forward I would like to ask that you be more open in your language, as I feel like your dialogue is very one sided and very charged

I am more than happy to continue this dialogue with you, I would just appreciate if you brought it to a neutral place, where you can peacefully speak your truth, perspective and insight

KC’s response:

At the risk of being considered too political, I am strictly anti-capitalist, so I am going to be harsh.

As someone quite harmed by predatory systems, that is rather difficult.

My second response:

I would appreciate if you would "keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilised public discourse.” rather than taking it to a political place

There is nothing wrong with you holding the views that you have, but given the content, please refrain from making it political. You can speak your truth civilly, openly and neutrally

Out of love, I feel like you are taking this far too personally

I feel like the same can be said for other people too and to be transparent, the same can be said for myself; I will not bring that forward - in detail - as it is not relevant for me, as I would like for this to remain a “well-lighted place for civilised public discourse.”

I have shown you respect and understanding, and I only ask for the same in return

My reasoning for bringing forward the Community Guidelines:

I don’t appreciate the harshness in your response → “so I am going to be harsh.”

Moving forward I would like to ask that you be more open in your language, as I feel like your dialogue is very one sided and very charged → “As someone quite harmed by predatory systems, that is rather difficult.”

I can see, agree and appreciate where you @DERK_91 and @KCD0DGER are coming from

I have brought forward the Community Guidelines, as I feel that not all points are being brought forward and addressed, and instead we are letting emotions fuel and provide charge behind our posts

Community Guidelines are there so we may have a: “well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.”

I gave my response to:

“No child should value seven hours of their time a week at one dollar.” → Wouldn’t they be playing the game anyway? Isn’t it the same as - or equal to - completing the weekly challenges to obtain the weekly reward?

Then I was met with:

Don’t waste your time on proselytizing and rules lawyering at me. The condescension you ask others not to do is dripping out of big bolded rules posts.

I would say that this falls under: * “Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content” and “Ad hominem attacks”

Ad hominem meaning: (of an argument or reaction) directed against a person rather than the position they are maintaining.

That’s why we have Community Guidelines, so that we may have integrity and hold accountability in our conversations and discourse

That’s why I also write a disclaimer:

Disclaimer:
Any comments that promote: negativity, hatred, condensation, discrimination and are counterproductive - will be flagged and called forward by me

As everyone is entitled and free to say exactly how they are feeling, however it doesn’t always mean that it is productive or in the best interest of everyone; acknowledging people equally, meeting them halfway and respecting one another equally

In conclusion, I will state once again:

"Moving forward I would like to ask that you be more open in your language, as I feel like your dialogue is very one sided and very charged

I am more than happy to continue this dialogue with you, I would just appreciate if you brought it to a neutral place, where you can peacefully speak your truth, perspective and insight

Again, I see and appreciate where you are coming from"

Thank you, and I sincerely hope you can see where I am coming from

I apologise if I have caused offence or have come across the wrong way

I mean no harm and only look to maintain the integrity of this conversation and discourse, for the best interest I have for the Halo Infinite population:

My main goal and intention is to raise the Halo population greater than what it already it; maintaining that number and having it remain as consistent as possible

Thank you, and thank you for taking the time to read what I had to say. I really do appreciate it, and I really do appreciate what you have to say

I used spoiler tags as a form of TLDR, as the section(s) was not inherently relevant to the main thing I was communicating

I appreciate where you are coming from, but in responding like this you are a ‘volunteer’

We may have gone off topic, hence why I am steering it back into the right direction; relating it back to the main topic at hand

I will conclude again:

My main goal and intention is to raise the Halo population greater than what it already it; maintaining that number and having it remain as consistent as possible

Thank you and hope you can see where you are coming from
