Question, in the good old Bungie days, you were able to go to the forum find a topic with most views and recommended forged maps and click “download” right in the forum and it’ll download on xbox
do they have anythign like this on halo 5?
if not…how do we find really well made forged maps?

343i has done a poor job explaining this. To my knowledge you have to have them in your friends list or follow them in order to see their maps in file share. Which kinda stinks. I wish forge had its own page within the game, for searching and browsing.
Yeh they should do what they did in halo 4 and reach and stuff. It was much easier that way

CUSTOM GAMES!!! And now they got rid of it. It’s not hard for them to add it. I’m going to sell this game now. Halo let me down.
agreed they should bring it back like halo 3 and you can find and download maze, and zombie game maps and game types back then halo 3 was the game for that man! i remember being up all night till the am playing game types and custom made maps what happened!?

The forge community is huge and this goes against all of that!
Extremely surprised this isn’t in the game and I hope it gets added ASAP.
forge is not bbad, it is actually kind of good, tho lacking kill barrier, but they kind of are half a.s.s.ing it with not putting that in. they are lacking in so much, EVERYWHERE, the least they couldhve done was make custom games 100 times better with allowing you to download the best creations that are fun ,made by others, to make up for what they did not put in, but no. 343 no likey giving good stuff to people who buy their game. i actually think it is their goal to ruin halo, burn it to the ground, pretending to try but actually making it the least amount of halo as possible by ridding everything that halo is really known for, the custom games, infection, griffball AND THE SPLITSCREEN YOU 343 POOPS!!!
A shame really I hoped it was more like reach.
there is no use for forge if you can’t share it to the community. it is not the best interest to only share maps with friends; personally I have no xbox friends I don’t want them and don’t need them. I want is to download maps and give ratings. Me giving your forge map a good rating is more valuable than an xbox friendship imo.
I seems they don’t want you to get the best operational use out of forge in halo 5.
problem:

:I don’t communicate with any friends in halo, I play the game for my own personal enjoyment.
:Im not going to spend hours building a forge map when there is no way to share it to the community

solution:
create a forge map thread since there is no way of sharing maps in the game.
use that tread to post gamer tag names of yourself or friends and favorite forge maps.
This makes no damn sense.
H3 way of doing it was way better.

Add them as a friend
When you’re in the game main menu press X and tab over to your friends list
Find and select the person you who has the maps you want
Go to their map list and bookmark the maps you want
Load up a custom game and select the map from your bookmarked list

How the heck is one supposed to know what they might like to play??? There is no place to go and see a pic, or preview of maps. You just have to assume a certain person out of the thousands on XBL has something you might like.

So, unless you are the type to go looking for a Forge Community online, you will be sitting there in the game wondering where all the player made maps are. That’s kind of lame. I mean, who, aside from a few here on the forums, would think or even bother to go looking on the internet for Forge maps? And what if you have a ton of friends in your friends list, but non of them bother to Forge? Even worse, you spend days making a map that you think is incredible, but no one gets to see it unless, again, you promote it online in a forum or your friends/followers bother to check it out.
Seems like a big oversight. Especially seeing as Forge was delayed.
