you can’t, i’ve seen someone use the chat maybe 3 times in 200 games, so doesn’t matter anyway.

Probably has something to do with how hard Microsoft… well, if you know, you know…
I don’t think even Bungo is as soft as 343, 343 will mute you and warn you for swearing in their server instead of just auto deleting the message.
It’s a series that’s been rated M up to 5 for God’s sake.
Edit: forgot to mention after 6 autodeleted swears in their server it will mute you for 2 days

I turned that stuff off so I would not hear anyboday’s voices. Now my friends and I use Teamspeak only.
- goto settings
2, goto audio
- go down to the bottom of the list uncheck the following:
A. DISABLE VOICE CHAT MODE
B . unclick FIRETEAM & LOBBY CHAT
D. unclick MATCH CHAT
E. unclick SPARTAN CHATTER

The chat filter is really bad.
I mean damn I can’t even call out an enemy who is in a tower via text because the ping system doesn’t work when they hare behind a wall.

I doubt they’ll ever let you disable it. You can’t even chat with the enemy. Everyone has to hold hands and play nicey nice.

Ping is blocked I’m pretty sure, tried to apologise to my team if I do bad as I was on 150ping and it blocked it all.

The reason I turn off all the chat stuff is because my friends and I use TeamSpeak. We don’t to hear from MORONS SAY Racicts Remarks, Hate and discontent and remarks about people’s mother. That is why we use Teamspeak. We don’t need the aggravation. We just want to play the game and have fun and without all that BULL$HIT PERIOD!!
It’s really silly you can’t disable it. I get they want a teen rating. And I get they want to allow people to stream the game on twitch. But gosh dang it, if I’m okay with you swearing I don’t want to see **** or yoink.
Also, who the freak thought it would be a good idea to censor ball when odd ball is a gametype?

I don’t think you can turn off the censor.
I agree it’s annoying when you can’t type “20,” “10/10,” “ball.” A lot of helpful callouts are censored and the 343i should look into it at some point.
