I just had a pretty one-sided game. Enemy team caps 2 bases and we’re stuck trying to defend our last base. They have 2 Banshee’s, 2 Wraiths, 3 tanks, and 2 Wasps. What methods, other than letting them win, (Which they didn’t try, they farmed) do you recommend for taking down vehicles? I try to use plasma pistols and railguns, but usually get killed after one shot gets off. Any recommendations?
Plasma pistols… or active camo and Jack them then run like hell to a base.
Void Tears and Spartan lasers would do the trick.

Yeah you wouldn’t have a chance against them.

Counter vehicle them. If you’re running with a team with people having a few mics, you’ll be fine. Either that, your last chance is to run a mongoose to the armory closest to their home base, then once that is capped start pushing for the armory closest to yours.

I would quit because I’d rather get banned for 10 minutes then get farmed by vehicles while you haven’t even passed REQ 4. Not only you are racking up the deaths and your team is quitting too, but it’s just infuriating.
It isn’t worth breaking your controller because you got loop-de-looped by a banshee.

i had this once in stormbreak (however, my team did not give up and di try pushing so it let me execute it better)
we were blue and had only our armory under blue control and enemy team had a vehicle spam going on…so i had a bunch of endgames and selene’s lance…what id di was to spawn at home base with one of the 2 lasers and move towards our armory, and staying on the little ridge kinda of thing behind the armory.
we lost, but the final score was 100-820 ish and they won cuz we lost the mythic boss kill. I used 2 lasers back to back in that session and emptied them both, got like 10+ laser kills.
the most satisfying part was the instakill banshees, where i laser sniped enemy shees as they spawned above the fortress…poor guys mustve been raging to see their brand new shees being destroyed as soon as they spawn
try it some time, it almost got us the win…
Generally when you get into a situation like that you’ve already lost. The average winnable game is one where your team actively counters the opposing team’s strategies.
Pull back to home base, and try to get your req level up by killing intruders with your railgun(s). Your goal other than survive should be to get to req level 6. Endgame and Railguns work well against banshees.

If you have one base, you should spawn at the core. Then travel to a good position to pick things up. A good position is one where you won’t be spotted immediately, you have nearby cover, and you can make a quick exit when you do get spotted. Plasma Pistols, Plasma Casters, Splasers, Railguns, Hydras, The Answer, Sniper fire, your own scorpion/banshee/etc are the way to go from there.
