How to counter shipmaster

So much teleporting. So many locust. Army too low. How to good against shipmaster¿

Units appear at my base, once my army gets there the teleport away, once my army gets to the new location my base is gone and they’ve extracted back home. How in the world do you counter something you literally can’t touch?

Please. Teleport my units away one more time, I love it when you do that.

i wonder if displacement will be nerfed.

like being able to just move a army away then kill your base and extract is just obserd.

personally i dont have a problem countering is teleport bullsgit but displacement is just to strong.

displacement should have a charge time like isabels mac blast or similar to inferno. i really hate that you can just click on.a army and say -Yoink- you and teleport there -Yoink- ontop od there turreted base. or go abd defend a base vs locusts but he just displaces your stuff accross the map. its so cheesy.

you can ever displace units into a small corner so they stack then aoe them down instantly how is that balanced

As someone who uses shipmaster he needs a buff because the cool down time is horrible

Base trade. He teleport your units and destroys your base? Take his. He plays like a fighter or mage in an rpg. They can move fast and hit you hard, but if you can hit him harder then he can hit you, or before he hits you, he won’t be able to keep up. Shipmaster can’t possibly keep up with Atriox’s base building, or Colony’s sheer brute force. While his stuff is pretty good for hit and run, he can’t put up a straight fight, or a fair one for that matter. I can’t offer any opinions on the UNSC leaders because I don’t play them, but the same general rules apply.

Build a vigilance tower and leave some sieze units deployed nearby, Locusts are not very strong, so unless he brings lots of Shrouds you should be able to destroy the Locusts.

Shipmasters displacement can be very easy to counter, keep your units in sub groups and keep them spread out. If he displaces you he will only get a small portion of your army.

At least your army is only being teleported /displaced & not eradicated!

Lol I played you with him.

Shipmaster is easy to beat in 1’s, but is somewhat challenging to beat in team games. The reason being because a good team will protect him long enough for him to get Locusts out. You have to rush a Shipmaster player because he has no good early base saving powers outside of extraction and Ghosts don’t hold a candle to Choppers.

He’s unquestionably the worst Banished leader in terms of early game so this is the prime time to beat him because a team with a good SM is unstoppable. I recently had a game where one of my teammates was doing nothing and we still pushed their team somewhat. I was porting all over the map and managed to whole this guy up at a base which made it a 2v2 for about 10 minutes before his 2 allies said “screw it” and stomped me.

build 1 watchtower plus 3 anti vehicle turrets. theylre range then equals a locusts and they destroy vehicles so fast

Thank the Rings someone knows how to play a simple rts. Too many people glomp up their units and get roflstomped by leader powers. Rarely do i see army mangement like that.

It’s amazing how few people know how to micro manage their units, makes it extremely easy when you are versing them.

I find it easier to face him in teams than in 1’s. He can be deadly in teams, but it’s hard for me to face a good shipmaster in 1’s. It’s alot harder to cheese with mutliple armies trying to kill you.

snickers

You haven’t even seen the worst of it. Go against a Shipmaster with level 2 scout mine. So underhanded but highly effective against infantry and light vehicles. Cyclops or hunters usually aren’t able to stop my locusts because of that + displacement. Only sure fire way to stop locusts is air. Reaver ball hurts that though. He’s fun to play as once you get the hang of his powers.

This will work. Heed that advice. I usually run into people who clump there stuff up.
I have been pretty sneaky with this myself. Late game I can get enough locusts to split my forces in half and send some to one base and then TP the rest behind another. By the time you come to kill me, I can either displace or extract. Take an enemy player out of the game and make it a 3v2 so quick.
