How to change Halo Infinite Gamertag

Hi all, I am trying to change my Halo Infinite gamer tag which I screwed up. I am not seeing a way to change it in game or any other game. I sent in a support ticket to 343 Industries and am waiting to hear back. Does anyone know a way to change the gamer tag in-game Halo Infinite?

Your gamertag is changed through Microsoft’s gamertag site, isn’t it? I don’t think 343 can edit your gamertag.

If you’re talking about your gamertag in regards to the one you see on your Xbox homepage; this is a Microsoft account, and you’ll need to head to their site to change it.

I am on PC playing halo infinite through steam. It asked for a game tag when I opened the game up which I would like to change. The name I am referring to shows up at the bottom right of the halo infinite screen when on home page of the game.
