Can any1 help me new to halo wars I use forge I need a strategy on how to get 8 or 9 power turret tanks in under 10 minutes ?
Go Supply Pad > Supply Pad > Reactor while you queue up 2-3 hogs. Once the Reactor is up, research gunner and clear out a rebel base. Build two more supply pads on your base and research fortress. Build another Reactor and then a Vehicle Depot.
SP > SP > R > SP > SP > R > VD.
Buy the second base once it is cleared and go Supply Pad > Reactor > Supply Pad. Research Canister Shell once your 3rd Reactor is complete. Upgrade your 2nd base to station and go Supply Pad > Reactor. Research Power Turret then delete your 4th Reactor for another Vehicle Depot and start to double pump tanks.
SP > R > Canister Shell > SP > SP > R > Power Turret > Recycle Reactor for a VD.
This is probably not the best build but this is what I remember doing in UA 3v3…

just tested this build on dean(i assume thats the map you meant for this scenario since it doesnt fit exile or frozen but glacial would do)
on low crate spawn taking half the maps available starting crates(calling this high crate spawn) making 3 hogs+ your starter hog, clearing the teleporter and center after your expansion for more crates gets you 10 PT tanks at around 1030(i suicided the hogs)this build is not one i have seen before but there was definitely lag time where the depot was simply doing nothing(having 1 tank out before cani started researching)
i am not a forge player and probably never will be(he is a boring leader imo)
is going SP>SP>R>SP>SP>SP>SP>2x reactor just as effective? i have seen a lot of high level forges not even bother with a depot on their first base and do this build but never the one mentioned above

unrelated but i thought i would mention something about the hogs:when clearing yourself an expo:
avoid the turrets like the plague, there are blind spots where you can shoot the base and not take turret damage making your hogs more usable after clearing
when taking the expo, take the expo on your half of the map(obviously) that is furthest from your covy player(this makes it harder for enemy covy players to just abandon their rush to kill your expo) and when clearing the base clear it from the back of the base not the front-a lot of players will try to kill your hogs as you start killing the base and it is easy to find hogs in the front and not too far out of someones way to attack them, while the back hides your hogs and buys your team more time to build if say an arbiter decides to try to track them down

Not necessarily, if you expo far from the outside covy, they’re forced to shield, and tanks have to be either in front of your expo (far from your covy)or in front of your covy (far from your expo).
If you sit close to your expo, carpet + canny glitch = gg to covy base before your tanks get close.
Also, you get a depo out faster without the advanced reactor, and you have to depo on your main on deen, or you won’t be able to hold the expo.
And if you’re playing a good covy, you’d be better off going 5 hogs on offense after clearing a base, as you’ll force an arbiter to recall.

I would recommend using a field armory, research “Reserves” it allows units to train faster.
Some1 must have a setup where you can get 10 power turret tanks in under 10min ?
I’ll post a vid sometime tomorrow on how to get tanks out quick
not hard if you get an expo and reserves early, say a 2v2 map with a open base. wait until you have 3 supply pads built before getting a new base. or get the new base right away and ask for a click from your teammate… if hes nice

Do this but instead of 3 hogs use 2 cyclops (much cheaper).
Make 2 bases. One with Barracks, Vehicle Depots, etc. Then make a 2nd base with nothing “but” Supply Pads. Then upgrade all your Supply Pads. Now you should be getting many resources at a good pace (use these resources to make as many tanks as possible).
There are multiple variables to consider. How much money did you collect. Did you lose your hogs. Do you have to use your hogs to spawn lock. Do you need a quick tank out to help your teammates. Are the covies preventing you from expanding? Do you need to spam canny tanks to defend a push? There are even more possibilities, but I’m to lazy. So what I’m saying is that it’s all circumstantial. There is no build that will solve all our problems

Clearly the three minus runwars above me are scrubs.
Gunner > marines or cyclopes because if the enemy is smart, they can kill your marines/cyclopes with their gunner. Also, you can pick up more crates, ram brutes, camp lifts and deny summits or protect your expo with hogs.
None of this can be done with marines or cyclopes.
You have to depo on your main so you can protect your expo, or still have units if your expo is denied.
I recommend playing when the game starts instead of waiting until the 9 minute mark =P just make sure that you hit the balance of building and teching. Also, the field armory should be kept in mind, along with the fact that it’s cheaper to build 4 separate reactors as opposed to 2 upgraded. Destroy the 4th one you build for money back =)
