How To Bring Back That Halo 2 Feeling

What I have done was download a bunch of Halo 2 music onto a USB and put it on my Xbox. Then I launched Spartan Ops in Halo 4 and played the music. And you know what? It kind of brings back old memories. The music plays over the Halo 4 music completely. The gameplay feels better too, and I love playing this game already. Even though the enemies, weapons and gameplay are not exactly the same, it still sort of feels right. I recommend trying this if you are a Halo fan and especially a Halo 2 fan. Feels like the good old days…

I have to say it first…

ADAPT, to a near dead game called halo 4. Dont mind that the population is at a record low for any halo game. Just ADAPT into a dying franchize and ride with it into oblivion. OR DONT PLAY.

If you want to play Halo 2, why don’t you go off and play Halo 2 instead of playing Halo 4?

I don’t mind Halo 4 at all. I’m just saying to those who want to bring back the days from the past, give this a try. It’s just for fun. It makes a modern day game feel like a classic.

Um, I do believe that the servers for original Xbox titles was shut down. So unless the OP has a copy of Halo 2 Vista and is willing to play on PC they are SOL for H2 multiplayer.

Personally I never cared for H2, weakest game of the series as far as I’m concerned.

EDIT: For Halo 4 I do like, very much in fact, that using the Xbox’s “custom soundtrack” feature to play your own music in-game only overrides the game’s music and not the voices as well unlike Halo 3/ODST/Reach. Thanks for that 343, never could get why Bungie was so stubborn in that area.

I also really like Halo 2’s Soundtrack. I think it was the best so far and sounds well with any game I play.

XBC

There’s a custom soundtrack feature?! :o Where, may I ask?

Edit: oh you mean in the Music library. That’s really neat!
